Guerlain SALSA & TANGO ‘Terracotta – Terra Inca’ Moisturizing Gloss Swatches & Review

June 1, 2011

Joining their Ombre Fusion Creme buddies 2 more glosses have entered into my life – Guerlain ‘Terracotta – Terra Inca’ Moisturizing Gloss in Salsa (07) & Tango (09). There is also another gloss in this collection, Mambo (08), which is not pictured.

From the Neiman Marcus website:

Neon fuchsia, sunny coral, flamboyant red: These concentrates of colors envelop the lips in delicious sheerness with insolent shine and give an instant radiance boost to the face! Their secret? A luminous and translucent formula, free of sparkles but packed with pigments. This non-sticky gloss can be applied at any time of day for an ultra-sensual effect.

Sensual, indeed! These shades may LOOK neon in the tube, as well as in the arm swatch, but as you can see from the lip swatches, they apply rather sheerly. You can’t really see much difference in the lip swatches, but I think when paired with a complimenting lipstick, these shades will really shine.

Giving just a hint of color, these glosses remain classy, while still being fun. Because of the color and sheerness, added in that there is no sparkle or shimmer, the shades will appeal to all age groups. The formula is not sticky at all (much less sticky than MAC Lipglasses and even Chanel, a bit more sticky than Le Metier de Beaute), and doesn’t transfer gunk onto a glass as you sip wine 😉 Or water. Whatever your local laws deem appropriate! (lol) They also have a really faint, light scent. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it’s certainly not offensive.

Guerlain ‘Terracotta – Terra Inca’ Moisturizing Gloss retails for $30.50 and can be purchased at stores such as Neiman Marcus, which has free shipping on ANY purchase with code JUNENM.

Unfortunately I can’t seem to find the boxes for these glosses. I looked on retailer websites and didn’t find any listed either. I think your best bet would be to do the live chats at either Sephora or Neiman Marcus and see if they have a list available! I’m sorry I couldn’t be of more help to you!

I love Tango as well! I just recently picked up a few items from Guerlain, I'm new to the brand though. Love their kiss kiss glosses!

Love Guerlain!! Can be very hit and miss for me sometimes but mostly hits! These are too sheer I think for my liking since I like them to have impact on their own but they do look fabulous on you!

HDTM – thank you!! Salsa was my fav 😉 but Tango is just the juicy color I was looking for! They tint slightly differently on the lips in person, in photos it's so hard to tell.

You NEED Guerlain in your life. Their eye shadows and lippies are so pretty. Best packaging EVER too lol always nice and heavy.

I first thought Salsa looks good on you (which it does), but then I have to say that I prefer 'Tango' on you. Those are both beautiful shades. I own no Guerlain in my life. 🙁
