A little over a week ago I posted a review of Le Metier de Beaute Magic Lustre Creme. This stuff turns all your powders into highly pigmented bursts of color that you can wear anywhere…. eyes, lips, cheeks… what have you.
I adore this product, and, as you can see from the swatches in the post linked above, it really works!
However, I had some wear issues on the eyes. It stayed on like a dream on the cheeks, felt great, easy to blend. On the lips it came up a little bit patchy, and it’s uber sticky. So for those of you who think MAC lipglasses are too sticky, this is more so. For this trial I used the LMdB Splendid Frost Kaleidoscope for eyes, cheeks AND lips! (certainly makes the $95 price tag of Splendid Frost seem a lot more manageable, when you can use it for so many things!)
On the eyes it faded in the crease. I even let it go a bit before I opened my eyes to make sure it dried. It creased lightly almost immediately and after 4 hours this was the result:
as you can see, cheeks stayed on great… lips – not at all. I did not use UDPP under the Magic Lustre Creme for this pic, however it still gave the same results when I did try it that way. I took the above 2 pics with no touch ups. Look how great the cheeks stayed on!
I still think Le Metier de Beaute Magic Lustre Creme is worth the money ($24). It easily transforms your powders and enhances the pigment. You do not have to use much so the little tub that you do get should last you a good long while.
