I rarely celebrate these random “National Holiday” deals. Pet your cat day. Clip your toe nails day. No. But when National Handbag Day rolls around I do this thing where I sit up and take notice. And probably this also happens on National Vodka Day… IDK.
In honor of National Handbag Day here are my Top 6 picks for a Fall Handbag, all of which are on the list of “eventually”. In my perfect world and all 😉
3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Medium Satchel($895.00 // Shopbop). The color shown is Military, which I’m loving almost as much as Port this season! Pricey, yes. Worth it. It’s got a nice structure to it but it’s expandable to fit more. I usually use the Rebecca Minkoff Pouches to organize things inside. I have one in the shade Feather (don’t be scared, it’s not pink IRL. it’s actually a beautiful light grey) and I could do with one or five more.
Tory Burch Fleming Medium Bag($475.00 // Shopbop). The color shown is Kir Royale. Lately I’ve been into a smaller bag. One that holds just enough of my things. Lord knows I’ll haul the kitchen sink if you give me enough room. The red color is gorgeous in person (I may or may not put this on at Nordstrom every time I’m in there) and it lays perfectly at my side.
Rebecca Minkoff Large Moto Satchel($395.00 // Shopbop). The color shown is Port. PORT! I have this one in a baby blue shade and you mean to tell me it’s now available in Port?! I love this bag style, almost as much as the now extinct Cupid (Rebecca, if you’re reading this please bring back the Cupid!). It’s got a nice slouch to it and holds every damn thing. This bag tops my list for sure. In other news they also have other colors and sizes available. Basically go get you one.
Tory Burch Robinson Pebbled Triple-Zip Satchel($535.00 // Tory Burch). The color shown is Tigers Eye. Last month I saw this bag at a baby shower and it’s been the apple of my eye ever since. All the compartments! OCD dream come true.
Kate Spade New York Ryan Plaid Tote($198.00 // Shopbop). The color shown is Cherry Liqueur Multi. Call me predictable… trendy… whatever… I grew up in the 90’s so this whole plaid thing is calling to me. I needs me a tote.
Tory Burch Thea Bucket Bag ($475.00 // Shopbop). The color shown is Starless Night. Now, I haven’t jumped on the bucket bag bandwagon yet, but this one calls to me. It’s a good size and looks functional for my lifestyle.

YES! You guessed it! My guiltiest of all guilty pleasures is PLANNING. Well, decorating my planner. My Dad is a list-maker, so I probably get this from him, but I make lists like you wouldn’t believe. At any given time, in addition to my planner even, I have 5 lists going. And I rewrite them every single day. I also used to love to scrapbook pictures, but right now don’t have time to be heavy into that. A way to combine my love of list making and decorating pages? My planner!!!
Currently I’m using the Erin Condren Life Planner (click here to get $10 off) Vertical. I love this because it’s easy to plan my day out and decorate it as well. I never feel like it looks too busy and generally leave myself a lot of white space for writing, particularly in the evenings and weekends when random plans can pop up (kids, yo).
This is the spread I did recently for Back to School! The primary type of colors generally aren’t the way I go but for Back to School they’re must-haves! I primarily used a set from Vintage Gypsy Road but also used quite a bit of accents and washi from PlannerKate1 and some things from Willowfields. My brother-in-law got married on the 5th so that’s why it’s a little different 😉 . Click here to see the Plan With Me Flipagram!
For the next week I went full on Peacocks. I’d been searching for the perfect set when Vintage Gypsy Road went off and made a huge kit full of Peacocks (still available here but it’s LIMITED EDITION so act fast) in jewel tones. How could I not buy this? I also added in a weekend banner from My Newest Addiction and few more accents from Willowfields. Click here to see the Plan With Me Flipagram!
Below are a few of my favorite sticker shops on etsy! Many of them were kind enough to provide a coupon code for you to shop with at their store!
My Newest Addiction: Laura is one of my favorite blogging buddies (visit her blog: My Newest Addiction) and her intelligence and creativity make her the perfect sticker designer. PLUS she’s as obsessed with makeup as me so a lot of her designs are based on makeup products! Click here and use code BLUSHINGNOIR for 15% off (exp. end of Sept)! Vintage Gypsy Road: Whitney’s stickers are everything I’ve been looking for. I found her right when I started to play around with my planner by searching “vintage stickers”. The rest is history! Her kits make it so easy and quick to plan out the week and they match up perfectly with the items I buy from My Newest Addiction! Click here and use code BLUSHINGNOIR for 15% off any order $10+ (no current exp.)! Scribble Prints Co: If you’ve ever heard of decorating a planner Andrea is someone I’m sure you’ve heard of. Everyone loves the ombre heart boxes, to do headers… the quality is just lovely across the board. Click here to shop! Currently she isn’t using codes for her shop but she does post some randomly on her blog or Instagram. Small Town Grace: I found Erin because I needed some Mean Girls stickers! Her designs are fun and creative… everything is right up my alley! Click here and use code BLUSHINGNOIR15for 15% off $15+ (exp. November 6, 2015)! Willowfields: When I wants me some glitter this is where I go. Her sticker quality is gorgeous and she has every glitter “inspired” designs imaginable. It’s so easy to buy them all! Click here and use code BLUSHINGNOIR for 10% off (exp. at the end of the year)! PlannerKate1: I love so many of Kate’s designs, but what really gets me going is her washi! They’re all pre-cut and ready to go! You know I can be lazy so one less thing to do works for me. Click here and use code BLUSHINGNOIR for 15% off (exp. at the end of the year)! Creating & Co: This is a recent shop and I found her because she did a HUGE beauty related kit that I had to buy immediately! I’ll be featuring it in a spread that’s coming up but in the meantime check out here shop! Click here and use code BLUSHINGNOIR for 15% off (exp. at the end of October 2015)! One Orange Snowflake: I love her gold designs and I used her Sunflower set on my first Fall spread of the season (shown above). Click here to shop!
I also LOVE the Kate Spade planners, but I use them more as part of my list making process. I write in things I want to get done on a certain date… sort of like a plan-ahead for work. I found the one pictured below on Shopbop and also grabbed a Kate Spade Pen Set because I loved the sayings!
What’s your Guilty Pleasure? Do you plan? I’d love to know what some of your favorite shops are for stickers and accessories!!
Finally all of my Nordstrom Anniversary Sale items have arrived! I ended up going in the day the preview began but then coming home and ordering a few things that weren’t available in store, some of which I already talked about in my Top 10 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Beauty Buys post. July 17 marks the opening of the Anniversary Sale to the public, so this haul isn’t too late, right? 😉
Like I mentioned before I bought nothing that I had put on my original wishlist, but it’s hard to plan an actual wishlist because the catalog only gives you a teaser of what will actually be available during the sale. Based off of my ideas I felt fully prepared going in and am so happy with what I was able to pick up!
Rebecca Minkoff Erin – Retail Therapy #nordygirl Pouch ($49.90 // Nordstrom). As I mentioned in my Top 10 post I buy the Rebecca Minkoff #nordygirl pouch every year. I’m personally loving the color and theme but if pink isn’t your thing there is also another version available in dark forest (green) that says Beauty Essentials #nofilter. The regular price of this item is $75.00.
Kate Spade Nilda Pump($189.90 // Nordstrom). I can’t even begin to tell you how long I’ve looked for a black patent Mary Jane type shoe that wasn’t as expensive as the famed Manolo’s that I was dying for. This Kate Spade pair is the first pair that have been perfect – even more perfect than the Manolo’s. Not too rounded, not too pointy and they’re actually comfortable. The regular price of this item is $298.00.
UGG Sadie Studded Flip Flop($59.50 // Nordstrom). I’ve got a thing for studs… and I don’t mean dudes. I settled on the white color because I don’t have a comfortable but dressy pair of flip flops.. though for this price I’m likely going to pick up the black also. The regular price of this item is $84.95.
Dior Eye Reviver – Rosy Palette ($62.00 // Nordstrom). The original Eye Reviver Palette is a major love of mine, so of course I’m picking up the more purple toned sister! Swatches & review are coming soon!
Dior Addict Lipstick($33.00 // Nordstrom). Cosmic Pink and Hypnotic Plum are welcome additions to my Dior Addict Lipstick Collection. I love the formula and the colors are always subtle and perfect. Swatches & review coming soon.
Nadri Geo Small Stud Earrings($19.90 // Nordstrom). I wasn’t on the look-out for earrings, but these studs from Nadri caught my eye almost immediately. They’re perfect for every day or going out. The regular price of this item is $30.00.
Michael Kors Slim Camille Crystal Dial Leather Strap Watch, 33mm($149.90 // Nordstrom). Like with the earrings I wasn’t in the market for a watch. I never really find a watch that I like to look at that also looks nice on me. The beautiful taupe grey contrasts perfectly with the rose gold. I’m obsessed with wearing this watch every chance I get! The regular price of this item is $225.00.
I hope you enjoyed my haul! Let me know in the comments what you bought or are planning to buy!
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is coming. The catalog arrived last week. You know, just early enough to make and re-make my lists of things I need something like four thousand times. I’ll be out of town starting the day the sale begins and I’m freaking out. Sure, I can shop online, but I feel like doing that takes more planning. Plus it’s SO fun to go in store and see the girls going wild (in the non-nekkid sense) in the “tent of dreams” loading up on Kate Spade, Rebecca Minkoff, Marc Jacobs… even Burberry! Here is my haul last year and here is my pending haul this year… so far.
From the page above I’m really into those sunglasses from Wildfox. They’re $112.90 at the sale and go up to $169 after the sale. I also wouldn’t kick that statement necklace from Lee by Lee Angel out of bed 😉
You guys know I love my Minkoff. I think I’ve finally decided on one and that’s the Amorous Satchel. I love that it’s got a rocker vibe but can still be a daily bag. I’ll save $175 getting it at the sale (WOW!) rather than waiting until after the sale. Worth it. I bought a Rebecca Minkoff bag last year too. It’s still my baby.
I have been eying the Kate Spade Initial Pendant for some time. I think this sale is the perfect time to pick it up since it’s $20 cheaper! Also, Nadri makes awesome jewelry and I actually have and love the arrow necklace (not shown). Because I wore it so much it’s missing some stones so I’m hoping it’s still in store (it’s not on the site) so I can re-purchase!
I don’t talk much about kid related things on here unless the mood strikes, but after seeing these sweaters consider my mood struck. The My Little Pony Sweatshit from Mighty Fine is right up my daughters alley while the Minion Hoodie is my son through and through! Though, I may need to recheck that with him because he’s been talking about the evil, purple minions lately. Ugh.
Here’s the start of the beauty! See! I’m totally staying on blog topic haha. Of course the MAC sets are awesome, they’re always awesome. I think I’ll need the warm, though I may wait on this to swatch in store to be sure I don’t like the shadows in the cool kit better. Below I want to grab the sets from NARS, Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown. Cause I needs all the nudes and who doesn’t look to pair that with a hot pink lip from NARS? That Smashbox Brush Set is full of good-ness as well *drool*.
Last year Dior launched their Fall line early (and it was damn good) but so far I haven’t heard/seen anything for this year. Chanel Fall has been out for weeks, so hopefully we’ll see the Dior ASAP!
