Blessed with a round face I'm constantly on the lookout for quick and easy ways to contour that'll last. I may be a beauty blogger, but creamy contouring products (which seem to last the longest) still scare me, so I always reach for a powder when I'm doing my daily makeup. One of my favorite bronzing powders to use for contouring is Tarte Park Avenue Princess. Now, just in time for Summer, Tarte has come out with The Sculptor Contouring Face Slenderizer, which is a creamy bronzer, but in pencil form so it's a little less intimidating!
What Sephora says about Tarte The Sculptor Contouring Face Slenderizer:
What it is:
A contouring and sculpting stick that highlights the face for a slimmer look.
What it does:
The Slenderizer creates the illusion of high, chiseled cheekbones in seconds. This artistry-inspired stick glides across skin, applying lightweight, non-sticky color that blends flawlessly into all skintones. It is ideal for slimming the neck, jawline, and nose.
What it is formulated WITHOUT:
The Sculptor Contouring Face Slenderizer is a self-sharpening pencil that makes contouring simple. You just draw a line (like the swatch below) where you want the color (temples, under the cheekbones, nose, etc) and blend out with your fingers or a brush. I personally like to use a brush. It's really easy to blend out and looked really natural on my skin tone (which is MAC NW20-25, neutral). I found that my face stayed contoured throughout the day without fading. If you find you need your contour to be a bit darker this is buildable and also makes an excellent base for a powder contour.
How do you contour? I'd love to see Tarte do a double ended pencil with Park Ave Princess on one side and on the other side something like Candlelight (both seen here in powder form) for a highlight!
Tarte The Sculptor Contouring Face Slenderizer retails for $24.00 and is available at Sephora.
