NARS is setting the Summer on fire with their upcoming release of the Dual-Intensity Eyeshadows. Shadows that are just as intense dry as they are wet. Luckily you'll have twelve shades of said eye shadows to choose from, but really you should just buy them all (did I just spoil the ending?). The two shades that I have to share with you today are Desdemona and Himalia (but be ready for me to show you more once these officially launch)!

Packaging wise the colors are what we're used to seeing with NARS products (black with white lettering), but they are smaller and completely square. On the top side is a small mirror while the bottom part is the eye shadow itself with a lined imprint. Sadly the imprinted design will disappear on first use.

NARS Cosmetics introduces the new Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow. Double-down with the new dual-application formula – apply dry for a sheer, airbrush-like finish with a luminous sheen or apply with a dampened brush for high-impact and intense, opaque color. Twelve ready-to-wear and rebelliously romantic shades transform your look with a riveting range from delicate peach pink to fierce black orchid.
Using NARS’ specially designed wet/dry eyeshadow brush, the ultra-soft and luxurious shadow glides on smoothly and easily for precise application.

Desdemona (rich shimmering burgundy)

Himalia (shimmering topaz)

NARS Himalia Dual-Intensity Eyeshadow Swatches Review

I absolutely need MOAR SHADOWS from this line. Even dry the color payoff is fierce and I love how smooth and soft the formula is. These are obviously gorgeous when you apply them dry, but when you use them wet they deepen a shade and become slightly more metallic. When I wore these shades both wet and dry they lasted throughout the day without fading and creasing.

In the eye look below I used Himalia wet all over the lid and Desdemona wet at the outer V and through the crease, blending up. I used Himalia dry to blend out the crease and also under the lower lash line. The eye liner is NARS Carpates Eyeliner Stylo and the mascara is Too Faced Better Than Sex. I picked the mink lashes up at The Makeup Show this year from Flutter Lashes and they are the Ashlin set.

NARS Dual-Intensity Eyeshadows retail for $29.00 and will be available beginning July 1, 2014 at NARS boutiques and on
