I'm always on the hunt for the best drugstore foundation. For me it isn't easy to find something that I like or that will last, particularly because I'm so oily. This Summer I got a bit of a tan and around the same time a box of Maybelline® FIT ME!® Matte + Poreless Foundations landed on my doorstep. Perfect timing to give a new-to-me product a test run.
Maybelline® FIT ME!® Matte + Poreless Foundation($7.99 // ULTA Beauty). This is a full-coverage, liquid foundation meant to keep those of us that are complete oil slicks completely matte as well as hide all of those unsightly pores. I've been using it consistently for almost two months and have found the formula to be mattifying for a few hours before it needs touched up in my t-zone and can happily report that it camouflages pores throughout the day. When I need the matte factor to last a bit longer I use my "dynamic duo" of Benefit The POREfessional Matte Rescue Invisible Finish Mattifying Gel all over my face and Make Up For Ever Step 1 Skin Equalizer Matte Primer in my t-zone.
For this foundation I've found that the best way to apply it is by using a damp beautyblender. You can dot the foundation around your face and blend the formula seamlessly, giving it a much more flawless finish vs. using your fingers or a brush.

Maybelline® FIT ME!® Matte + Poreless Powder($7.99 // ULTA Beauty). If there are days when you need a bit more coverage or you just want to set your foundation with a powder then this is one you'll want to pick up. I use a flat-top kabuki brush to press the powder all over my face to keep everything in place for a longer period of time. This powder alone wasn't enough coverage for me, currently, but if you are just looking for a lighter, more medium-coverage I think you'll love using this by itself.

What is your favorite drugstore foundation? I'm also currently really fond of the L'Oreal Infallible Pro-Matte!
