The holiday collection from MAC is always something that I look forward to. Every year it's a massive launch and it can definitely be overwhelming, particularly if you've never experienced a MAC Holiday launch before. It's the biggest of the big... the glammest of them all. And, my personal favorite, there is always something for everyone.

MAC Holiday 2015

Red lips? There's a kit for that. Smoky eyes? Sure. Oh, you only need cool tones? There's a palette. Brush sets, pigment sets, kits of all kinds... single items even. It can be hard to choose and even harder to budget. Hopefully this post will help you a little with that!

From the MAC Holiday 2015 Collection I have 3 items to share with you - 2 of the Colourdrenched Pigments in Night Thrill(gold shimmer, frost) and No Taboos(blackened blue, frost) which are a part of Magic of the Night and the Essentials Brush Kit which is part of Enchanted Eve.

The Colourdrenched Pigments($22.00 // Nordstrom) are touted as being "high-shine, creamy and full-coverage". To say I'm obsessed with these is an understatement. They're so saturated with color, very much like pressed pigments (as expected). Very easy to apply and blend, these lasted all day over a primer.

The swatches below are done dry with no primers:

The Enchanted Eve Essentials Brush Kit ($42.50 // Nordstrom) is a five piece collection of brushes that MAC is obviously deeming to be your essentials. I must say, I own all of them in full size... some even multiple times over. The brushes included are 168 Large Angled Contour Brush, 133 Small Cheek Brush, 221 Mini Tapered Blending Brush, 239 Eye Shading Brush and 219 Pencil Brush. Each brush features blue, teal or purple metal and they're housed in a matching black ribbed clutch.

MAC Holiday Brush Set 2015 review

Of all of the items in all of MAC Holiday 2015 I would recommend picking up the following items:

  • Colourdrenched Pigments($22.00 // Nordstrom) - buy the shades you love the most of buy them all... definitely at least pick up one... so pretty!
  • Irresistibly Charming Mini Pigments($35.00 // Nordstrom) - I'm partial to the Gold set but there is also a set of purple and a set of blue.
  • Enchanted Eve Eye Bag($42.50 // Nordstrom) - In this bag you'll get a full size Pro Longwear Paint Pot, Mascara and Fluidline, along with a double-ended brush. I am in love with the Neutral set (of course) but there are also shades of Smoky and Plum.
  • Enchanted Eve Brush Kit($52.50 // Nordstrom) - I love the mini sets of the brushes. Some people will argue that the quality isn't as good but I think it's still good and you're getting a good value - 5 brushes and the clutch. I love the Essentials Kit shown above but there are also two other sets in Mineralize and Basic.

Also check out the Enchanted Eve Viva Glamorous Lip Kit($31.00 // Nordstrom) which features the VIVA GLAM Miley Cyrus hot pink Lipstick and matching Lipglass or the Enchanted Eve Viva Glam Lip Palette($25.00 // Nordstrom) which features three of the most iconic VIVA GLAM shades. Every cent of the proceeds from VIVA GLAM purchases go to the MAC Aids Fund.

MAC Holiday 2015 is currently available at Nordstrom, Macy's, Bloomingdale's and maccosmetics.com. The items in this collection are limited edition.
