We all know I love me some Dior Diorshow Fusion Mono Eyeshadows. So when one launches that pairs fantastically with Mirage and is also a Nordstrom exclusive… well, I’m all over that.
What Nordstrom says about Dior Diorshow Fusion Mono Eyeshadow:
Dior’s Diorshow Fusion Mono Eyeshadow creates multidimensional, light-reflecting eyes in a single step. Its mousse-gel texture blends easily with the fingertips or the enclosed applicator. The eyeshadow illuminates the eye with a metallic finish and is available in eight iridescent shades
Rosee is the eyeshadow I’m talking about and it’s a gorgeous & light silvery lilac. It pairs perfectly with so many shades and looks wonderful when worked in with a smoky eye look. It also makes a nice, yet fun all-over-the-lid shadow for a simple eye look.
The formula of the Diorshow Fusion Mono Eyeshadows is smooth and silky, lasting all day long without creasing. It sets quickly, but you still have time to do your blending.
This particular Fusion Mono Eyeshadow appears to be sold out, BUT the ones that are in stock are currently 10% off at Nordstrom (ends April 21, 2014)! Normally the retail would be $30.00, but for a limited time you’ll only pay $27.00 with free shipping!!

When Sephora announced the pre-launch of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes to the VIB’s I wasn’t sure what to think. I knew I loved the Ambient Lighting Powder, but how different could the blushes be? It was hard to decide if I wanted to try them out when there were no reviews and no swatches. After some thought I ordered one, Luminous Flush, and waited. When it arrived I fell in love. Hard. So hard that I knew I needed all of the others. So during a sale I took the plunge and ordered the other five blushes.
Since this week for Makeup Wars we’re focusing on our favorite blushes for the Spring and Summer season I thought it’d be a perfect time to swatch and show off all six of the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blushes together.
Mood Exposure (soft plum)
Luminous Flush (champagne rose)
Radiant Magenta (golden fuchsia)
Ethereal Glow (cool pink)
Diffused Heat (vibrant poppy)
Dim Infusion (subdued coral)
My favorite thing about these blushes is that they truly make the face come alive and glow without becoming the disco-ball-glitter-bomb-of-death. They wear and blend well and the pigment is completely perfect, almost impossible to over-do. The finish ends up being luminous, soft and natural. With just one touch you know it’s a high quality product that you’ll have to repurchase over and over again.
On a related note did you guys hear that the previously limited edition Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette is coming back? I’m SO excited! I missed out the first time so this time I will definitely be sure to get my hands on one!
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush retails for $35.00 and is available at Sephora.

For the past few years MAC has released a “By Request” Collection, giving their fans the opportunity to vote on the shades they want to bring back for a limited time. I love this idea because it’s the perfect opportunity for you to restock on a past fave or grab a product you may have missed out on the first time around.
For 2014 the fans voted and brought back three eye shadows (Fiction, Diesel and Butterscotch, $15.00 each) and three lipstick/lipglass shades (Glam, Hoop and Pink Poodle, $15.00 each for Lipglass/$16.00 each for Lipstick).
Fiction is described as a muted green shimmer (frost). This is a khaki shade with slight golden flecks. I found the formula to be fantastic in terms of wear and easily applied when using a firm brush (MAC 239). This is a great shade to wear multiple ways including all over the lid or just subtly in the crease.
Pink Poodle is described as a vivid fuchsia pink. It’s a jelly like fuchsia with blue pearl. The formula wasn’t too sticky and it’s opaque enough to be worn alone or over a similar (or nude) lipstick.
I got my first taste of the Ardency Inn beauty line in a recent GlossyBox. Based off of that experience, I was hooked. I was sent the Americana Natural Lip Color Pencil in Bowery soon after and it’s been a nude lip staple ever since.
What Sephora says about Ardency Inn Americana Natural Lip Color:
What it is:
A perfecting lip color pencil that enhances the natural beauty of the lips.
What it does:
The creamy formula of Americana Lip Pencil glides on silky smooth for sexy, soft lips. Shea, cocoa, and shorea butters moisturize, nourish, and soothe lips while antioxidants provide protection against the sun’s harmful rays. This pencil is available in five natural lip color shades: Delancey, Bowery, Houston, Essex, and Kenmare. The convenient propel/repel delivery system is great for touch-ups on the go. What it is formulated WITHOUT:
What else you need to know:
Americana Lip Color Pencil is Hypoallergenic.
Bowery is described as a light nude with pink undertones. I personally see some peachy tones to this one, but there is some pink. This is exactly the lip I love when I’m wearing a smoky or dark eye. If this type of a nude isn’t your thing there are four other shades to choose from!
The formula of the Americana Natural Lip Color Pencil is opaque and really creamy but still feels light when you wear it. I loved that this pencil settles smoothly and doesn’t get cakey over time. This Lip Color Pencil lasted about 4 hours on me … longer than a gloss but not quite as long as a matte/satin lipstick.
Ardency Inn Americana Natural Lip Color retails for $23.00 and is available at Sephora.
