Too Faced Loves Sephora 15 Years Of Beauty Palette Swatches, Review & EOTD

Too Faced is celebrating! It’s not only the brands 15th birthday year (April 23rd, to be exact), but it’s also it’s anniversary with Sephora! To commemorate the occasion they’ve released a new and limited edition palette, obviously exclusive to Sephora.

I’ve been posting photos and sneak peeks on Instagram for a few days now, and I’m so excited to share with you the Too Faced Loves Sephora 15 Years Of Beauty Palette!

What it is:
A handpicked collection of 15 products to celebrate Too Faced and Sephora’s 15th anniversary.

What it does:
This special edition palette incorporates 10 exclusive eye shadows each named for a Sephora and Too Faced iconic moment, person, or memory. Keeping in mind that pigment effects shadow payout, the shadows are created with high concentrations of color, so what you see is what you get—pigment-rich shades with a brilliant finish. Along with blush, shadow primer, several bronzers, and a brush, the Too Faced signature Glamour Guide is included to achieve 15 complete looks.

The color payoff on each and every shade of shadow and blush/bronzer in this palette is outstanding. There is just nothing bad to say about any of the above. Each shade was one finger swipe on the skin, dry, with no primer underneath.

The value is fabulous, especially because every product is amazing, and the palette is housed in a tin case so it travels well.

Bar none, the best palette Too Faced has ever created (and I love most of them, so that means this one is better than a love!).

I did quite a few looks with this palette, I just had so much fun with it! Below are my EOTD looks along with the breakdowns of the shades used underneath:

Too Faced Sweetheart Beads Radiant Glow Face Powder Swatches & Review – Summer 2013

The Sweetheart Beads Radiant Glow Face Powder is the visual stand out of the Too Faced Summer 2013 Collection. But does it perform as well as it looks?

What Sephora has to say about Too Faced Sweetheart Beads Radiant Glow Face Powder:

What it does:
Catch the light with buildable color and a hint of shimmer. Set makeup and provide an all-over radiant glow. These colors work together to create the perfect combination of color, coverage, and glow for healthy radiance. Inspired by nature’s most flattering pink and golden-dusk colors, this face powder illuminates and brightens for a romantic lit-from-within finish.

What else you need to know:
This product is cruelty-free.

Sweetheart Beads are clearly adorable to look at, but as you can tell from the swatch not much happens (you really need to focus to see the swatch to the left and you can’t even see the one on the right because it’s blended out). I think because of the beads that were darker I expected a bit more color… but this didn’t show up at all on my skin tone (MAC NW20-25, neutral). On the plus side, I didn’t find it to be overly glittery.

Color is said to be buildable, but I do disagree with that. I layered like crazy and it just emphasized my pores. As a “setting powder” it just didn’t work at all. As a highlighter it gave a very, very faint glow but not enough to warrant the price tag.

I think if you’re very, very fair that you will love this. I’m sad because the heart beads are too cute and I can’t stop staring at them. Hopefully Too Faced will release a similar product geared towards bronzing, or perhaps a blush for those with darker tones.

Too Faced Boudoir Eyes Soft & Sexy Eye Shadow Collection Swatches, Review & EOTD – Spring 2013

When Too Faced launched their Spring 2013 collection everyone’s eyes were immediately drawn to the Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush, instead of focusing on the usual centerpiece – the Eye Shadow Collection. With five brand new shades, Boudoir Eyes commands attention by promising to be sexy and soft at the same time.

A handpicked collection of eye shadows to create looks for the bedroom and beyond.

What it does:
This handpicked collection of eye shadows offers boudoir-worthy colors including five new shades just for this palette for a total of nine soft and sexy colors. Created with high concentrations of color, what you see is what you get: pigment-rich shades with a brilliant finish. As with all Too Faced palettes, a show-and-tell centerfold Glamour Guide is included to give you instructions on creating three Boudoir Eyes looks.

What else you need to know:
This product is 100% cruelty-free.

Boudoir Eyes is a soft and easy to wear neutral palette for spring. The shades are easy to blend and I didn’t experience any fall-out except a bit with the darkest shade, French Tickler.

As with most palettes from Too Faced this set is portable and an excellent value. I do love that these shadows are housed in a metal tin, however I was a little disappointed that there wasn’t a mirror included.

The collection comes with a card featuring three step-by-step get the looks. Below are the swatches and eye looks for this palette. Each EOTD was done by following the instructions on the card. The mascara used in each look was MAC Plushlash, and Neutrogena Spiced Chocolate Nourishing Eye Liner was used in the day look.

Day

In the Buff is a matte vanilla
Fuzzy Handcuffs is a satin purple tinted peach
Voulez-Vous is a lightly shimmered deep purple

Classic

Satin Sheets is a pale pink with golden shimmer
Sugar Walls is a shimmery taupe
Garter Belt is a satin grey

Fashion

Birthday Suit is a light, almost sheer shimmery tan
Lap Dance is a deep lilac shimmer
French Tickler is a velvet blackened eggplant with a small amount of micro glitter

Clearly the looks on the card come off a lot more saturated than they are in real life, but, nonetheless, all are lovely and wearable.

Sweethearts Perfect Flush Blush swatches gorgeously, with its icy shades of cool pink, peach and pink-peach. This makes a brilliant highlighter for most skin tones, though I think only the very pale will find it fit to use as a blush alone.

On top of your fave cheek color you’ll find this blush is luminous and natural looking. The shade is buildable, but because it’s on the frosty side you might want to watch if you have large pores. I am wearing it in this post.

This product has hit my vanity as my fave new highlighter shade, and I’m crossing my fingers that they release a more pigmented version for me to pair it with!

Too Faced SUMMERTIME SEXY SHADOW COLLECTION Swatches, Review, EOTD, and FOTD – Summer 2012

Making it easy to create the perfect eye look for those hot, tropical nights, Too Faced has designed it’s Summertime Sexy Shadow Collection.

This extremely portable palette offers nine different shades of eye shadow and even includes 3 cards with instructions on the best way to use the shadows to enhance the eye. (Though you could use any of them together and even mix and match with your other Too Faced palettes).

The Summertime Sexy Shadow Collection is a mix of bold and neutral shades, perfect for the sweltering summer days and brisk summer nights. For the most part, the shadows all have a great amount of pigment, and are easy to apply and blend. I had the most fall out and least pigment with Peach Fuzz and Sunbeam, but the rest gave me no problems.

The cards are nice because they allow for easy and fool-proof application, but you can obviously create more looks than three, being that the tones also jive well together when you are working with your imagination.

As usual, I thought my favorite look would be the more demure of the three (Classic), but Fashion was my favorite for sure. SO fun and gorgeous!

I used the cards as the basis for my three eye looks. I used a different liner each time, but I used Too Faced Shadow Insurance for all and the mascara used each time was the new Too Faced Better Than False Lashes System.
