OPI Walks the Runway with New Couture de Minnie Nail Lacquers, Inspired by Minnie Mouse

OPI announces the launch of its Couture de Minnie collection, including four limited edition nail lacquers and one new Liquid Sand™ shade. Created in honor of Disney’s beloved character, the Couture de Minnie line explores the fashion-forward side of Minnie Mouse, mixing pink, fuchsia and red shades with textural elements. In addition to three crème lacquers, the Couture de Minnie line features a red and white polka dot glitter shade and the strawberry-hued Liquid Sand nail lacquer in Magazine Cover Mouse to give nails a sparkly, matte finish.

“Last summer, OPI created a ‘Vintage Minnie Mouse’ line. San Francisco by OPI brings street chic style with West Coast flair to nails and toes for Fall/Winter 2013. This new collection features a palette ranging from sky and sea-colored hues of blues and gray to reds, burgundies and browns inspired by some of the city’s most iconic elements – Chinatown, the Golden Gate bridge and the Embarcadero. Bond Girls by OPI Liquid Sand™ Nail Polish Swatches & Review

I’m obsessed with this new formula from OPI! For this round of the Liquid Sand™ lacquers we see six new shades to add to the Bond Collection. Introducing the Bond Girls!

It’s said that the Liquid Sand Nail Lacquers should always be worn without a top coat, but I swatched one finger (middle) with a top coat just so you could see what it looks like (it truly doesn’t make a difference other than making the base color appear a smidge deeper).

Solitaire

Solitaire is has a white base with silver glitter. It’s gorgeous and actually looks like someone dumped a truck load of diamonds in the snow. Two coats were used for the photo.

Pussy Galore

Pussy Galore has a baby pink base with fuchsia glitter. This shade is very girlie and would have fit in well with the Mariah Carey Liquid Sands! Three coats were used in the photo.

Honey Ryder

Honey Ryder is a beyond beautiful gold, and almost resembles a crinkled foil! Two coats were used in the photo.

Tiffany Case

Tiffany Case is a lovely aqua blue with silver glitter. Two coats were used in the photo.

Jinx

Jinx is a totally glam red laced with insane amounts of 24 karat gold shimmers. When it dries down it almost looks like a hot coral. My FAV from the collection! Two coats were used in the photo.

Vesper

Vesper is a deep eggplant purple shade. Three coats were used in the photo.

My must haves are ALL of them, seriously, I adore this formula! However, If I had to pass on any of them it would be Vesper and Pussy Galore, mostly because they just visually fall flat for me.

OPI Euro Centrale Nail Polish Collection Swatches & Review

The Spring/Summer 2013 OPI Euro Centrale Collection mixes it up combining your usual poolside brights with more saturated hues of purple and blue!

Hands Off My Kielbasa!

Hands Off My Kielbasa! (bronzy tan) Is a lovely peachy bronze with tons of shimmer. This polish applied so well and was opaque in two coats.

My Vampire is Buff

My Vampire is Buff (pale nude) is an ecru cream. On its own this shade wasn’t a favorite and the formula was mediocre… but I think it would make a nice base for a dark and bold glitter. I had to use three coats to even it out.

You’re Such a Budapest

You’re Such a Budapest (periwinkle-purple) The formula of this one was pretty sheer. The above swatch is three coats and I contemplated a fourth. (PS – if you enlarge the photo you’ll see a very slight hint of shimmer).

Can’t Find My Czechbook

Can’t Find My Czechbook (aqua) This cream applied slightly runny and was hard to even out, so I needed three coats for this one.

Polka.com

Polka.com (blue, violet glitter) has medium sized blue, fuchsia and indigo glitters as well as smaller blue glitter. This one was nice because the glitter wasn’t temperamental and applied well on the nail. One coat is shown over Can’t Find My Czechbook.

OPI….Eurso Euro

OPI….Eurso Euro is a lovely royal blue jelly. This shade is so saturated and the perfect midway between a navy and a bolder blue. Two coats were used in the photo.

Suzi’s Hungary Again!

Suzi’s Hungary Again! is a rosy pink cream with very subtle shimmer. The formula was a little thin and runny but I was still able to get it fully opaque in two coats.

I Saw….U Saw….We Saw….Warsaw

I Saw….U Saw….We Saw….Warsaw is a deep navy cream. The shade is gorgeous and glossy, but the formula was borderline runny. I used two coats for the swatch photo.

Vant to Bite My Neck?

Vant to Bite My Neck? is a beautiful and very saturated plum cream. Application was fabulous and I adore this color. Two coats were used above.

A Woman’s Prague-Ative

A Woman’s Prague-Ative is a bold copper metallic with copper and gold shimmers throughout. This polish actually makes me think more “Fall” and the leaves changing! Stunning! Three coats were used for the photo for full coverage.

Oy-Another Polish Joke!

Oy-Another Polish Joke! looks like you dipped your nails in glimmering liquid gold. This is a surprise love for me from this collection! The three coats above gave it almost the illusion of being opaque, but clearly it’s not.

My Paprika is Hotter Than Yours!

My Paprika is Hotter Than Yours! is an in-your-face tangerine cream with very subtle shimmer. This is the shade that I always reach for as my go-to pedi look for Spring and Summer! I used two coats to even out the polish, but you may be able to get away with one.

My must-haves from this collection are Hands Off My Kielbasa!, OPI….Eurso Euro, Vant to Bite My Neck?, A Woman’s Prague-Ative, Suzi’s Hungary Again!, Oy-Another Polish Joke! and My Paprika is Hotter Than Yours!

OPI Disney’s Oz The Great and Powerful is this years SoftShades Collection. It combines delicate shades with whimsical ones, making the collection undeniably epic.

Don’t Burst My Bubble

Don’t Burst My Bubble is a very sheer and milky pale pink. With shades such as this I love to just use one coat to leave the nails looking elegant. It also is a great shade to change up a french mani or use as a base for a glitter ombre. Shown above I swatched with three coats to give off the color.

Which is Witch?

Which is Witch? is a drool-worthy holo-glitter with random small glitters, hex glitters and bar glitters. The glitters were easy to grab with the brush and transfer to the nail. One coat is shown over Don’t Burst My Bubble.

I Theodora You

I Theodora You is a sheer pinked nude. Very girlie. Not at all evil! Three coats are shown above.

Lights of Emerald City

Lights of Emerald City has a clear base with large white square glitter and smaller square iridescent glitter. The white square glitter took a bit of maneuvering, but the end effect is unique! One coat is shown over I Theodora You.

Glints of Glinda

Glints of Glinda is a very sheer peachy nude. Just the right polish to make your nails look refined. Three coats were used above to show the color, but with shades such as this I prefer one or two.

When Monkeys Fly!

When Monkeys Fly! has a sheer base loaded with large & crumpled gold hex glitter and smaller holo glitter. Clearly, not hard to get those big gold hex pieces, but they want to group, so you’ll need to do a bit of maneuvering, and those dark monkeys don’t make it easy! But, they sure are pretty. One coat is shown over Glints of Glinda.

What Wizardry is This?

What Wizardry is This? is a Liquid Sand polish and is a gorgeous shade of deep golden ore. Three coats were used above, with a clear top coat on the middle nail.

Clearly, these are ALL MUST HAVES for me because I’m obsessed with OZ and lately anything about this movie, even James Franco!

OPI Joins Joie for New York Fashion Week!

OPI joined LA-based brand Joie for its first presentation at New York Fashion Week on Wednesday, February 13.

For the show, a gallery space was transformed into an elegant banquet with flowers, candelabras and champagne. The Parisian chic theme of the space and clothing was highlighted through the nails as well. Models wore OPI nail lacquer in Big Apple Red on nails and Black Onyx on toes.

OPI Struts Catwalk with Karen Walker, Debuts NEW Matte Top Coat!

OPI joined New Zealand designer Karen Walker at New York Fashion Week.

Models walked the runway at Pier 59 wearing polished yet playful separates in hues of black, olive, ivory and bright poppy. For nails, Walker selected OPI nail lacquer in Black Onyx, topped with new OPI Matte Top Coat, which launches April 2013. The unique nails had an edgy yet urbane finish that matched Walker’s overall collection. Please see attached for backstage images.
