Of course when Nicole by OPI announced their partnership with Selena Gomez we expected sweet. But we also got a lot of fun and sass as well! This collection contains 14 shades of polish ranging from neutral to loud, bold to demure… definitely one of my favorites from the brand to date!
Naturally is a true cool pink cream with a very subtle shimmer. The formula was okay, I painted two thin coats and then added a third for coverage… however it didn’t lay nicely so I think two thicker coats would be best with this one.
Inner Sparkle has a clear base with small gold glitters with medium sized lavender hex glitter and larger silvered pink hex glitter. One coat is shown over Naturally.
Selena is a peachy, girlie cream with slight shimmer. It’s aptly named because it’s sweet, and I feel like Selena Gomez would also be a sweet person. The formula was a little thin so I used two thicker coats used for the photo.
Sweet Dreams has a clear base with teal and silver hex glitter along with small purple glitters. One coat is shown over Selena.
Spring Break is a fuchsia cream. The formula was great and it was okay with one coat, but still had some visible nail line so I added a second coat for the photo.
Heavenly Angel looks like iridescent broken glass on your nails. It’s a pretty cool effect! This particular polish applies the flakes sparsely and takes some maneuvering, which I’m not a fan of. One coat shown over Spring Break.
Hit the Lights
Hit the Lights is a bright, very primary yellow cream with subtle shimmer (enlarge photo). I thought the formula was a little thick and not completely even on this one. Above is two coats, and I contemplated a third to even it out but it was already feeling thick.
Kissed at Midnight
Kissed at Midnight has a clear base with small gold glitter and medium sized gold hex glitter. I love this one, especially over Hit the Lights. It reminds me of the summer sunshine!
Love Song is a pretty purple cream. There is also a very very slight shimmer that you can see in the photo (click to enlarge). The formula was so smooth and great for this one. Two coats were used in the photo.
Mi Fantasia has a clear base with a mix of small aqua blue and purple glitter and holo bar glitter. Shown above with one coat over Love Song.
Scarlett is a foily looking metallic fuchsia. This shade is common, but this particular one is loaded with shimmer to make it even more blingy. Two coats were used in the swatch photo.
Confetti Fun has a clear base with small silver glitter and different size hex glitter in various shades (silver, orange, blue, gold, pink, green…). This is a total party on the nails and reminds me of how fun Selena Gomez’s character is on Wizards of Waverly Place. One coat shown over Scarlett.
Pretty in Plum
Pretty in Plum is purple with slight blue and fuchsia shimmers. This polish was opaque in ONE COAT!
Stars at Night
Stars at Night is a holo bar glitter. This one smoothed on easily and wasn’t temperamental in the least. One coat shown over Pretty in Plum
My personal top favorites from this collection are Selena, Love Song and Kissed at Midnight. If you don’t have a holo bar glitter you totally need one, so pick up Stars at Night.
