If you’re awesome and follow me via the Instagram you may have seen a few pics of the Rimmel Sweetie Crush Nail Polish Collection (here & here). Now, wait no longer, it’s time for swatches!
Below I did three coats of each shade for full coverage, all have a rough & textured finish (like sugar!).
Candyfloss Cutie is a raspberry pink texture.
Sherbet Sweetheart is a light yellow texture with some golden and holo shimmers mixed in.
Fizzy Applelicious is a mint green texture.
Blueberry Whizz is a cerulean blue texture.
Violet Swizzle is a lavender texture.
I thought these fun, candy colored pastel polishes would make for the perfect Easter post. I hope you’re having an awesome weekend, whether you’re celebrating Easter or not. Make it a good one, eat some ham
The Rimmel Sweetie Crush Nail Polishes retail for $2.25 each and I found mine at Rite-Aid. Even though that was a month ago my local Rite-Aid still has every color in stock, so you can still find these!
When you have something as amazing as OPI Glitter Off there absolutely has to be a mini collection of all glitter polishes accompanying it! OPISpotlight on Glitter is that collection. Six bling-tastic shades you can wear to your hearts content and then push off easily when you’re over them.
You Pink Too Much has a clear base with large pink hex glitter and small specks of silver holo glitters. Three coats.
Desperately Seeking Sequins has a clear base with silver holo glitter of small sizes, large and even bar glitter! Love this! Three coats.
Rose of Light has a clear base with large silver glitter and small rose gold glitters. Three coats
I Reached My Gold! has a sheer base with large & crumpled gold hex glitter and smaller silver holo hex glitters. Identical to When Monkeys Fly from OPI Disney’s Oz the Great and Powerful Collection. One coat shown because that glitter is a PITA and needs placed. At least it’s easy to get out of the bottle.
Chasing Rainbows is a rainbow of different sized hex glitters in every color of the rainbow and some silver. Near identical to Rainbow Connection from OPI The Muppets Collection Holiday 2011 but I think this one has more silver. Three coats.
Blush Hour has a sheer raspberry jelly base and a truck load of different sized fuchsia and purple hex glitters. Three coats.
They’re all so fun but Desperately Seeking Sequins and Blush Hour are totally my faves! Which ones is yours?
Spotlight on Glitter by OPI nail lacquerswill be available March 2014 at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, jcp Salons, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, ULTA and ulta.com for $9.00 ($10.95 CAN) suggested retail for each nail lacquer.
The OPI Brazil Nail PolishCollectionhas.it.all. Expressive/colorful shades, vampy shades, vibrant liquid sand polishes… If you don’t do a mani or pedi (or both!) after this post then something is wrong with you as a beauty maven (<— kidding, but seriously..).
OPI is always good for taking us on vacation and this time we’re headed to Brazil! Land of beautiful people and popular waxes! I’ve got so many faves in this collection it’s not even right. The formula was surprisingly excellent on all of these shades! I can’t think of one that I had an issue with!
Don’t Bossa Nova Me Around is a nude lilac cream. Two coats.
Next Stop… The Bikini Zone is a silvered purple shimmer with a flash of blue. The pics do not do it justice at all, this polish is gorgeous! Three coats.
Taupe-less Beach is a cool lavender cream. Two Coats.
I São Paulo Over There is a vintage purple cream. Two coats.
OPI Scores a Goal! is a chocolate toned purple cream. Two coats.
AmazON…AmazOFF is a deep teal with a hint of pearl to it. Two coats.
I Just Can’t Cope-acabanais a bright, creamy yellow. One of the few yellows I haven’t had issues with applying. The formula wasn’t perfect, but it’s the second best I’ve ever tried. Two coats.
Where Did Suzi’s Man-go? is a peachy orange cream. Two coats.
Toucan Do It If You Try is a muted coral orange cream. Two coats.
Kiss Me I’m Brazilianis a pinked salmon cream. Two coats.
Live.Love.Carnavalis a vibrant coral cream. Two coats.
Red Hot Rio is a ruby red cream. This formula was the smoothest and felt almost gel like. Two coats shows visible nail line, so if you’re not okay with that three is better..
The Beach Sandies are a quartet of liquid sand polishes in mini-size - Samba-dy Loves Purple (a vivid violet), I’m Brazil Nuts Over You (a hot coral red), What’s a Little Rain Forest? (a vibrant blue) and You’re So Flippy Floppy (a bright, sunshine yellow).
I’ve heard mixed reactions about this, but I prefer the liquid sands to be in smaller bottles. The formula isn’t something that I’d generally wear on all 10 nails on a daily basis, so the mini size is really perfect for me on these bright shades. What I don’t like about the mini bottles is that the names aren’t on them anywhere, so I have to save the box or I’ll forget what’s what. Also, on these particular colors the shades stain the nails, even with a good base coat. What’s a Little Rain Forest was the worst offender and needed worked on and buffed off for a few days.
My faves are definitely the Beach Sandies (even with the staining I love a bold textured shade), Don’t Bossa Nova Me Around, Next Stop… the Bikini Zone, I São Paulo Over There… I just realized I’m going to be naming all of these =\ I love them all. Which is impressive and also expensive.

The latest limited edition collection from Cult Nails is called It’s a New Day and is special for two reasons – 1. It was done in collaboration with Marta of Chit Chat Nails, and 2. It’s the debut of the first ever Nail Stamping Plate created especially for this collection!
It’s a New Day features three spring-like shades of polish in Falling Hard, Evolution and NewDay.
Falling Hard is a beautiful one coat cool pink. The pink everyone needs in their lives because it’s easy to apply, wears forever and is girly without being Barbie
Evolution is a sheer peach shade that becomes fully opaque in three coats. One coat gives a peachy, finishing touch to the nails…but either way I’d call it a work safe stunner.
New Day is a pastel yellow cream that is opaque in two coats. It’s the Easter yellow of my dreams. I’ve been dying for a shade like this and I can never find one that has a fantastic formula. Look no further, people.
Cult Nails It’s a New Day Nail Lacquer Collection can be purchased during the pre-sale event (April 11 – April 25, 2014 or while supplied last) on the website where it retails for $24.00 for the set of three. Each pre-order set will also come with the nail stamping plate shown. The stamper that is shown will be available separately for $6.00.
The pre-sale set value is $41, purchasing during pre-sale will save $17! If any polishes are left the remaining ones will be sold separately at $12.00 each (while supplies last). If you’re new to Cult Nails you can get $12 off of $24 on your first purchase by clicking here.
In an interesting twist to the liquid sand nail polishes that OPI has been releasing, sister brand Nicole by OPI has debuted four new and limited edition textured nail lacquers – the Roughles.
These polishes have the same sandy feel as the Liquid Sands but some of the texture bits are colored, making them appear more like colored Easter eggs when painted on the nail.
On What Grounds? is a robins egg blue with blue speckles; Rock the Look is pink with reddened peach speckles; Sand in My Shoe is yellow with reddened peach speckles and I’m Stucco on You is a periwinkle shade with blue and fuchsia speckles.
I also felt like these would look cool under an OPI Sheer Tints Watercolor mani. Very Easter Egg! When you can make a mess out of a manicure and call it nail art… I’m down.
How would you wear the Nicole by OPI Roughles?
Nicole by OPI formulas are long-lasting, fast-drying, and salon-quality. The 4 new nail lacquers will be available in stores beginning March 2014 for $7.99 each at retailers including select Duane Reade, Kroger, Kmart, Fred Meyer, CVS locations. In Canada, these shades will be available for $10.99 each at Shoppers Drug Mart, Jean Coutu, Rexall, Walmart Canada, Jean Coutu, Loblaw, and London Drug.
