146139I loved how this cream was thick and felt saturating, but settled into the skin quickly so I wasn’t waiting for it to dry down.  In the morning, my skin didn’t feel tight, dry or greasy… but rather supple and fresh.  My only dislike on this cream is the scent.  It’s just not a good one.  It’s not going to make you fall over, but I do wish it wasn’t a factor.  On the plus side, it fades out in a few minutes.

This body moisturizer is thick enough that you don’t need a ton of product to slather a good coat on and it soaks into the skin quickly providing a quick fix to dry, winter skin.  I tend towards sensitive skin and have had no reaction to using this product.  My skin stays hydrated and happy throughout the day.

Kiehl’s Rosa Arctica Lightweight Cream & Rosa Arctica Eye Balm Review

New as of September 1, Kiehl’s has added two new additions – the Rosa Arctica Lightweight Cream & the Rosa Arctica Eye Balm.

I personally still found this to leave my skin slightly oily, especially around the nose area.  The texture is light and absorbs well in other areas.  It’s very soothing!

Rosa Arctica Eye, $46, “is a unique balm formulation that helps provide instant visible results—thanks to mineral brighteners—instant hydration, and revitalizes the appearance of skin in the eye area over time, smoothing crow’s feet and lifting the eye contour area”.

This product is such a total love.  It’s a waxy looking balm so that you have absolutely no chance of getting too much product and over-saturating your eye.  This smooths out the thin and sensitive under eye area and makes me appear refreshed (even though nine times out of ten I’m clearly not lol).

Kiehl’s Aromatic Blends ~ Orange Flower & Lychee Aromatic Mist and Body Cleanser Review

Kiehl’s just seems to always do everything right.  Their latest addition is an Aromatic Blends Collection consisting of Vanilla & Sandalwood (the dense jungle of Uganda), Nashi Blossom & Pink Grapefruit (the tranquil gardens of Japan), Fig Leaf & Sage (the lush countryside of Provence), and today’s post of Orange Flower & Lychee (a desert oasis in Morocco).

When Kiehl’s was sourcing the world over to find natural, yet efficacious ingredients, the team was introduced to a unique orange blossom essence. This blend was so special and exceptionally fragrant because it was formulated using three different parts of the Bitter Orange tree vs. the typical single orange essence.  The Bitter Orange tree is known to produce oranges that deliver a more potent “orange” aroma.  By incorporating the stem, leaf and flower in developing our orange flower aroma, we ensure the purest scent expression.

Mr. Suffit describes this fragrance blend, “The Orange Flower and Lychee recreates the atmosphere of late afternoon in a Moroccan garden. This particular fragrance of Orange Flower & Lychee is beyond fragrant.  The scent is strong, and you won’t have to worry about this scent fading out throughout the day.  You’ll smell sensual and natural.  I believe this scent can be used on both men and women.  It has a musk to is, and it isn’t feminine, but I wouldn’t call it masculine either.

July 13 – Kiehl’s president and celeb motorcyclists travel 1,800 miles for AIDS research-Miami to DC for Kiehl’s LifeRide for amfAR

Maintaining its long-standing tradition of supporting HIV/AIDS charities, Kiehl’s Since 1851, the venerable New York-based purveyor of fine quality skin and hair care, is pleased to announce a continued partnership with amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research.

HIV/AIDS awareness has long been at the forefront of Kiehl’s philanthropic efforts, and through partnerships with organizations like amfAR, as well as the Magic Johnson AIDS Foundation, and YouthAIDS, Kiehl’s has proudly donated more than $2,000,000 for the cause.

With the mission to heighten awareness, and raise funds, for amfAR along the East Coast, the company is embarking on the third annual Kiehl’s LifeRide for amfAR, a ten-day charity motorcycle ride taking place July 13 – July 22, 2012, with the support of EagleRider Motorcycles, the world’s largest motorcycle rental and travel touring company. EagleRider is providing 25 motorcycles and equipment, along with a traveling support crew to ensure the safety of all riders.

This is a significant year for LifeRide, as its finale takes place at amfAR & GBCHealth’s Together to End AIDS Gala on July 21st, in Washington, D.C. the evening before the International AIDS Conference commences, marking its first time on US soil in 22 years. This year’s ride also takes place in July, which was recently established as National HIV Awareness Month (NHAM). Kiehl’s Activated Sun Protector Sunscreen SPF 50 Review & Photos

Even though it’s “technically” not Summer here in the U.S. yet, we’re full on into the type of weather that can cause serious skin damage.

An important part of keeping your skin safe is using sunscreen.  Even if it’s cloudy, sunscreen should be still be applied!  Prevention is key!

A good product that you can use to prevent damage is Kiehl’s Activated Sun Protector Sunscreen SPF 50.  This oil-free, paraben-free product is gentle enough to use everywhere, but strong enough to ward off harmful rays.

Activated Sun Protector™ is an ultra-lightweight SPF 50 sunscreen for the body in a non-greasy, non-irritating formulation. How to use: Apply liberally at least 15 minutes prior to sun exposure. Reapply after 80 minutes of swimming or excessive perspiring, immediately after towel-drying and at least every two hours.

This product is nice because it’s easy to smooth over the skin and soaks in quickly.  Apply 15 minutes before sun exposure and it will keep you protected for up to 80 minutes.  It is water resistant, but after you towel off it’s recommended that you reapply.

Thankfully, this doesn’t have the sunscreen “odor”.  Huge Plus!
