Fresh Sugar Lip Polish called to me because not only is it an award winner, but the reviews are amazing!  And who doesn’t want something on their lips made with brown sugar?!

Gently exfoliates and conditions, leaving lips incredibly soft and smooth. Brown sugar crystals, natural humectants that prevent moisture loss, buff away dry flakes while shea butter and jojoba oil nourish the skin.

IMG_8627 IMG_8633This lip polish really applies as more of a scrub and gets the job done in terms of exfoliation and leaving lips nourished and supple.  A very little bit of this product goes a long way, which is a huge plus considering the price tag.

The brown sugar crystals are a little rough feeling on the lips, which is a downer for me.  However, if you need something more intense for the colder months, this is right up your alley.  Consistency wise I personally prefer LUSH Mint Julips, which also gets the job done but is a more refined formula, so it feels amazing.

Fresh Turns 21! Limited Edition Soaps to Launch on Fashion’s Night Out!

Fresh celebrates a milestone birthday with visual storytelling

(set to launch Fashion’s Night Out on Thursday, September 6, 2012)

In 1991, Lev Glazman and Alina Roytberg founded Fresh with the creation of a small set
of opulent Oval Soaps. With their addictive fragrances, luxurious formulas, and delicate
hand-wrapping topped with a precious stone, these soaps were the start of something
spectacular.

In honor of its birthday this year, Fresh is partnering with artist and illustrator R. Nichols,
whose designs have graced the shelves of Barneys New York and Neiman Marcus, for
a special anniversary campaign and Oval Soap series. To commemorate the brand’s
beginning, Nichols designed playful graphic representations of three iconic Fresh scents:
Sugar, Patchouli, and Hesperides Grapefruit. These custom illustrations will be featured
on the vibrant metallic packaging of the Oval Soaps as a whimsical twist on the original
wrapping. The limited-edition soaps will be sold individually or can be packaged together
as an exclusive anniversary gift set.

In addition to this archival soap collection, Nichols designed chic Sugar, Patchouli, Hesperides Grapefruit, and Sake-themed note cards, as well as a festive “Fresh Turns 21” logo featuring silhouettes of Founders Lev and Alina.

The Fresh® Turns 21 Oval Soaps ($15 each) and Stationery ($22 for set) will be available for a limited time at Fresh® stores and Fresh.com in September 2012.

About R. Nichols
R. Nichols is an artist who began his business 14 years ago – in the dark windowless basement of his parents’ home. He wasn’t padlocked down there or anything – he was allowed to come out. Finding himself searching for a career and purpose, he drew on his 6th grade skills (cutting and pasting) and created some tiny collages which in turn became a small line of greeting cards.
He took his tiny collection of stationery and pounded the pavement, knocking on doors. He found that the doors were opened, and R. Nichols began appearing on the shelves of Neiman Marcus, Barneys, Gump’s and many more.

Fresh® is thrilled to introduce Fresh® Moments, a new web series on fresh.com that highlights notable Fresh® ambassadors for an inside look at their Fresh® lives. Every six weeks Fresh® will profile a different individual who embodies the Fresh® spirit. The guest ambassador will share what inspires them, what excites them, what drives them, along with their beauty secrets, and, of course, their favorite Fresh® products. The multi-media page will feature quotes, photographs, Fresh® imagery, and at times a video reel of an original profile piece about the ambassador.
