I’ve been missing from the past few Flashback Fridays =( I would always think I need to do that, and then the day would get away from me and it wouldn’t happen.

This Friday I’m BACK with the crazy things husbands do.

Last year we got one of those white heat stains on our cherry wood table. Jeff looked up on YouTube (which is such an authority on furniture, right?) how to remove this and saw that you could goop peanut butter on it and it’ll come off. Obviously this sounds ridiculous so I had to take pics. It does NOT work. Repeat, do not try this at home.

This photo is from 1996 and was the group shot of the Penn State Talent Search. Basically it was a program where HS kids went on field trips to area colleges to tour. Really 90% of that group just wanted out of school, myself included. I knew exactly where I was going (Pitt) because I wanted to twirl and dance there lol Great way to choose your school, right?

I’m on the middle-right side, front row… 4th from the right. I miss my hair being that long. Right now it would just be a kiddie jungle gym lol

**EDIT – I just noticed half of this group is wearing flannels! We look like a ragged bunch lol I’m sure I had one on under my jacket hahahahha

This is a depressing yet motivating Flashback Friday.

On this Friday we feature a pic of me that had to have been from my senior year in high school (aka 1998). My hair was newly that short then and I was a skinny mini. My mom sent these photos to me awile ago and I just found them in my email inbox. The date stamp of the fwd says 1996 but there is NO way because my hair was almost to my butt in 1996 lol

This was Pre-Kids… Pre-College… sort of makes me sad because when this was taken I probably weighed around 115lb – 120lb… Currently I’d be happy to be 140! Isn’t it strange that back then I thought I was fat? I hear people that age now say the same thing and I just want to be like… Honey, you WAIT. haha.. and OH LOOK I had hair. It wasn’t half fallen out from having babies and my hormones being all whacked!!!

Today we’re flashing back five and a half years… to my wedding reception!!!

We got married in the Bahamas but came back to have the reception at home. Jeff and I are known for our cake battles, so I don’t know why anyone thought we’d be different with a wedding cake.

We were both tentative feeding each other that first slice…. he thought he’d be cute and wipe a little on my nose. I took it wrong and thought he was going in for the kill and smashed a full piece on him. Then it was on. We had to be moved away so as not to completely go to town on the whole cake. It was seriously the best time of my life lol

This pic was taken when I was probably 5 or 6 months along with Owen back in 2006. Coco was VERY protective of me at this time. Jeff could not get within 2 feet of me and the belly. This is one of my favorite moments with my doggie. It’s so cool that dogs just KNOW and get all up on the bump

During my usual perusal of the blogs today I came across my friend Emily (recent Guest FOTD) who did a Flashback Friday hosted by Christopher and Tia.

It got me thinking… wow two years ago… I had JUST found out I was pregnant with Lydia…. Owen was just turning 2 years old…. I had made an extremely BAD decision to cut my hair into a short sideswept bang deal (frizz and summer are a bad combo to try out something like that, it just was not a good look). My Grandpa and my Aunt Gloria were both alive, our little house didn’t seem SO cramped… we’ve had a lot of changes!!

Here is a pic of me, hubby and Owen 2 years ago at the family reunion. Makes me sad seeing my little guy so…. little!
