Estée Lauder ENCHANTED BERRIES Pure Color Eyeshadow Palette Swatches, Review & EOTD

Out of all of the Estée Lauder Pure Color Eyeshadow Palette’s Enchanted Berries just may be the one that spoke to me the most for Fall.  I love the berry, taupe and burgundy shades.  It’ll make a nice, easy eye… or something a little more sultry!

IMG_5662What Nordstrom says about the Estée Lauder Pure Color Eyeshadow Palette:

Eyeshadow that makes eyes come alive. Versatile color palette allows you to play with intensities, mix and blend shades, express different attitudes, soft to bold. Holds five varying color intensities and finishes: matte, satin, shimmer or metallic. The highlighter is the magic touch. Use it to brighten the look and widen eyes instantly. The deepest shade structures and defines the eyes.

True Vision color: Maximized color impact. Magnified vibrancy, clarity and dimension. Amplified brilliance.

High-performance wear: Color adheres velvety-smooth, without creasing. Blends easily. Long-wearing. Stays color-true. Won’t fade.

Sleek compact includes applicator and mirror.

IMG_5635 IMG_5639 IMG_5642 IMG_5647 IMG_5659IMG_1877Enchanted Berries is a blend of pinks and burgundy shades with a surprise wink of taupe to break up the pattern.  Even the satin and matte shades provided excellent pigment and applied with ease.  Blending was great and wear time was all day long.

This palette comes housed in a fancy gold case with a nice weight to it, an interior mirror and sponge tipped applicators.

For this EOTD I used UDPP as my base and applied the taupe shade all over the lid.  The medium burgundy was used for the crease and the pink shade to blend if out.  The deep burgundy shade is in the outer V and the pale icy pink was used at the inner corners and to highlight.  I also used the medium burgundy shade a bit below the lower lashes.  The liner is Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Uzi and the mascara is Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant.

Estée Lauder SUCCULENT Pure Color Sheer RollerGloss Swatches & Review – Summer 2013

Back in March I went on about how much I loved the now-not-so-new Estée Lauder Pure Color Sheer RollerGloss in Squeeze, vowing to purchase the other color released – Succulent.  I did.  And it got buried in my pile so it’s now just getting reviewed.  But I loveeeee it.  Squeeze is currently already half empty =( So I’m happy to have this one around.

IMG_0181What the Nordstrom website says about the Estée Lauder Pure Color Sheer RollerGloss:

A heat wave of color. Tempt your lips with luscious shine and sheer color. The irresistible, lightly flavored gloss leaves your lips wanting more. From the Bronze Goddess Summer 2013 Collection.

IMG_0185IMG_0752 IMG_1597Succulent is a clear gloss with an ever so slight coral tint to it.  You can just barely catch it on the swatch.  This gloss makes your lips appear plumper and radiant and this high-shine formula isn’t sticky at all.  The rollerball is cool and soothing and you won’t be able to help but smile as you smell and taste the flavor of this yummy gloss.

Estée Lauder Pure Color Sheer RollerGloss retails for $18.50 and is available at Nordstrom, Macy’s, Neiman Marcus and Bloomingdale’s.

Mother’s Day 2013 GlossyBox Swatches, Photos & Review – Special Edition

Press Sample/Affiliate Links

As I’m sure you’re aware, May is a special month for Mom’s!  Mother’s Day is tomorrow and GlossyBox has a special edition box that is especially for pampering Mom’s (or yourself, even if you’re not a mom… cause everyone deserves to relax)!

Keep in mind, there is still time to subscribe for the May Box, aka the Celebration Box, which is promised to be AMAZING since it’s the 1 year anniversary of GlossyBox in the US!

IMG_4673Currently available in 19 countries, GlossyBox has become known for their high quality samples and prestigious brands such as NARS, Lancome, Laura Mercier, and more.

So, what is in the Mother’s Day 2013 GLOSSYBOX?  Let’s check it out!

IMG_4674 IMG_4681 IMG_4685 IMG_4699 IMG_4700First up is an Essie Nail Polish in Geranium.  This polish is a bold and beautiful shade right on trend for the season.  The formula is fabulous and also perfect in one coat!

IMG_5200Next is the Estee Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara.  I reviewed this a few months ago and loved it.  It gives awesome curl and volume in just one coat!

From Biolage the ExquisiteOil Replenishing Treatment.  This Deluxe Size is exclusive to GlossyBox.  This oil smells yummy and works to restore your hair and give shine.  A little goes a long way!  I only use products such as this at the ends of my hair.

Next, from ModelCo the Cheek + Lip Tint in Rosy Red.  This stain gives a long-lasting tinted look to your lips and cheeks that, when worn correctly, gives that just pinched look.  Use sparingly, this isn’t easy to get off so you’ll have a better time just adding as needed.

IMG_5193From ColorProof Evolved Color Care the CrazySmooth Anti-Frizz Shampoo & Conditioner.  These products (and yay for getting both a shampoo and condioner!) tamed my frizz well and my hair looked shiny.  Definitely a love!!

Finally, from ByTerry, the Creme de Rose.  This is meant to firm, moisturize and plump the skin.  The size is too small to accurately review on those terms, but I found that a little but had my skin feeling soft and the light rose scent isn’t overpowering.

With GlossyBox you get a bit of everything, makeup, skin care, nails, fragrance… I love that this subscription box is sure to cover all of the bases, every single month.

With the exception of the LMdB sample, the brands for Mother’s Day are all new brands to my stash!  Clearly, you’re getting your money’s worth, and useable items to boot!!!

GLOSSYBOX is a subscription service.  You sign up on the website and then from there you can order your subscription based on one month, six months, or a year.  You’ll answer a series of questions and based off of that, you will receive a customized box.  This is all pretty standard for a beauty subscription service.

The price is a bit higher than that of other services you may have heard of or belong to.  At $21 I would expect double the awesomeness of what I’d receive from, say, Birchbox.

GLOSSYBOX will always offer a MINIMUM of five products.  After receiving your box, you can fill out more surveys in order to rate the products you received so they can better tailor your next package.  So, basically, after a few months of the service, your packages should be PERFECT.

Again: May is their 1 year anniversary ;) so good things… hint hint….

**TIP – Make sure you review the products received in your GLOSSYBOX to receive 20 GLOSSYDots per review.  You can use these toward your own free box!**

Just when I think I’ve found my favorite Estée Lauder Summer 2013 item I try another one and it’s suddenly my favorite.  The Pure Color Sheer RollerGloss is my current lip obsession and available in two colors – Succulent and today’s post of Squeeze.  Spoiler alert… I’ve already gone off and purchased the other one.

Estée Lauder BATIK SUN Pure Color Eyeshadow Palette Swatches, Review & EOTD – Summer 2013

Estée Lauder Pure Color Eyeshadow Palettes have always been of interest to me.  And I mean for more reasons than being a beauty blogger.  They just always look so pretty, and I’ve long enjoyed the quality of most of the cosmetics distributed by Estée Lauder.

Since these palettes came onto the scene I’ve been meaning to purchase, but time and money just get away from you sometimes.  With the release of their Summer 2013 Collection, I could wait no longer.  Batik Sun Pure Color Eyeshadow Palette had to be mine.

IMG_9312What the Nordstrom website says about the Estée Lauder Pure Color Eyeshadow Palette:

Eyeshadow that makes eyes come alive. Versatile color palette allows you to play with intensities, mix and blend shades, express different attitudes—soft to bold. Holds five varying color intensities and finishes: matte, satin, shimmer or metallic. The highlighter is the magic touch. Use it to brighten the look and widen eyes instantly. True Visionâ„¢ color: Maximized color impact. Magnified vibrancy, clarity and dimension. Amplified brilliance.

High-performance wear: Color adheres velvety-smooth, without creasing. Blends easily. Long-wearing. Stays color-true. Won’t fade.

Sleek compact includes applicator and mirror.

IMG_9286 IMG_9291 IMG_9292 IMG_9304 IMG_9317IMG_9506Batik Sun is certainly fit for Summer with it’s shimmering golden hues and pops of vibrant color.  All of the shades except the teal had perfect pigmentation and blended so well!  I had trouble with the teal and getting the color as saturated as I expected it to be.  It was nice to blend, but the formula of the color wasn’t a win.

All in all, I loved how the shades worked together and seemed to balance each other out.  Estée Lauder has gained another huge fan of their Pure Color Eyeshadow Palettes and I can’t wait to get my hands on some more!

For the EOTD I began with a thin layer of UDPP.  I applied the orange shade all over the lid and the chocolate brown at the outer V.  The gold shade was used at the inner corners and the teal shade was used in the crease blended upwards.  I also used the teal shade smudged below the lower eyeliner.  The eyeliner used is the Neutrogena Nouishing Eye Liner in Spiced Chocolate and the mascara is Neutrogena Healthy Volume.
