Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream Review

What’s the point in getting (or giving yourself) a great manicure if your hands are dry, cracked and maybe feeling just a bit painful?  Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream is the long-lasting and glycerin-rich product that you need to keep your hands healthy.

086 087 088 089 095As you can see, Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream is thick, and actually looks more like a lotion/ointment hybrid!  After I put this on, my hands felt instantly better, and very little product was needed to make that happen.  A small dab will work to coat your hands and as long as you don’t over-use it will soak in quickly.

Quick tip!  If you happen to squeeze out too much (which, the first time or two you likely will because you really only need half the amount of what you’d normally use) throw on a pair of manicure gloves (or if you don’t have any on hand, use cotton socks).  This will help the lotion soak in a lot more quickly and penetrate better.

Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Cream retails for $4.99 and can be picked up at drugstores nationwide.  It is available in Original Scent and Fragrance Free.

CoverGirl VIXEN, MINX, STUNNER Blast Flipstick Swatches & Review

CoverGirl Blast Flipstick is a great product to give your pout the attention it deserves.  Two shades (one shimmery and one creamy) can be used separately or together to create an ombre effect.  The colors blend well into each other into a gradual fade.

053062Available in 12 shades I have three here to share with you today in Stunner (bright pink and gold shades), Minx (deep brown and gold shades) and Vixen (burgundy and pearl pink shades).

034

047(L-R: Stunner, Minx, Vixen)

The formula was easy to work with an non-drying, making wear comfortable and giving lips dimension.  Though not as strong, the color also lasted through eating and drinking.   Below I’m wearing Vixen, which is obviously more of a fuchsia shade than a burgundy.  I have the lighter shade on the inner part of the lips and the darker side on the outer part of the lips.  It’s hard to tell in the photo, but a bit more noticeable in person.

067The only con I had with this product was in the lipstick bullets.  You must be careful when you apply.   The lipstick bullets were on the softer side and moved, making me believe they would break off if I wasn’t overly careful and light on application.

CoverGirl Blast Flipsticks have an SRP of $8.49 and are available at most grocery stores, drug stores and major retailers.

Afrin No Drip Pump Mist Photos & Review

Here’s the deal.  I have allergies and I have kids.  It’s safe to say that at least once a month I’m sick.  Usually the stuffy kind of sick.  DH swears by Afrin.  He uses it all of the time.  What I didn’t like about his choice was that it shot a stream of liquid into your nose.  While it worked, it tasted horrible and ran down my throat causing me to gag and be miserable.  Because of this I always chose a different brand because the product came in mist form.

Now, Afrin has released a product that combines the best of both worlds.  A nasal mist that doesn’t make me gag and clears my nose for the long haul, the No Drip Pump Mist.

004 005 006 007This decongestant product works quickly and helps you breathe all day and sleep at night.  I tend to only use products like this before bed time, but sometimes a stuffy nose can be so miserable you just have to use it all day.

As always, make sure you consult with a doctor before trying any over the counter medication.

Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Face Care Photos & Review

Especially during these winter months, I need to find extreme hydration wherever I can get it.  I tend towards oily in the t-zone, but once it gets cold outside my face dries out and I feel like I need to constantly apply a moisturizer ALL DAY.  Clearly, I don’t have time to do that, or I’d never be able to wear makeup.  Which, being a beauty blogger, just won’t do.

Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Face Care is said to be clinically proven to intensely hydrate dry skin as well as reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Within this trial I got the opportunity to test out the Cream Cleanser ($9.99), Treatment Mask ($17.99) and Night Cream ($17.99).

I love how each product made my skin look and feel, however my favorite of the three is the Night Cream.  It applies easily in the evening over cleansed skin and does not feel greasy.  It absorbs in quickly, but not fast.  You don’t want a cream to just sink right in to your skin, it needs to ease in for optimal and long-lasting hydration.  When you wake up your skin still feels soft and not tight (mine seems to dry out ridiculously fast over night).

The scent is muted, letting you enjoy the feeling of the product working it’s magic on your skin.  I found that this line of face care removed my makeup very well and also cleansed my face of dirt and oils, while not drying me out.

Purchase Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Face Care at mass retailers and grocery stores nationwide.

Green Mountain Wellness Collection Photos & Review – Focus Blend & Antioxidant Blend

Green Mountain grabbed August 2012 by the horns and launched two new brews as part of a Wellness Collection - Focus Blend and Antioxidant Blend.

Both blends are a medium roast, so they aren’t strong (I run all of my K-Cups through twice because my mugs are huge… I go once on the large and once on the small).  Both tasted amazing and went down smooth.  ***Though, please note it does state that these are best brewed as an 8 ounce serving.

I was really impressed with the Focus Blend.  I’m not even kidding, I got more work done that day.  I’m not crazy.  It went beyond keeping me awake, I actually felt like I could think and concentrate, even with my 3 year old climbing on my back.

Purchase these brews online at GreenMountainCoffee.com or Keurig.com.  The retail price is $18.49 for a 24-ct box of K-Cup packs.
