Is it really possible for one brush to do it all?  Becca says that it is, and has created The One Perfecting Brush to cut makeup application in half by replacing 10 tools: foundation brush, powder brush, contour brush, bronzer brush, stipple brush, blush brush, fan brush, concealer brush, kabuki and sponge.

What it is:
A true beauty multitasker, this patent-pending brush cuts makeup application time in half by replacing 10 other brushes and tools.

What it does:
From start to finish, primer to powder, The One Perfecting Brush can be used with liquids, creams, powders and anything in between. Non-porous, high-quality goat hair allows product to sit on top of bristles rather than absorbing, ensuring a seamless application with no wasted product. It can be used effectively as a foundation brush, powder brush, contour brush, bronzer brush, stipple brush, blush brush, fan brush, concealer brush, kabuki, or sponge.

The bristles are packed in a 3.5 inch horizontal design allowing you to effortlessly and evenly cover larger or smaller surface areas. The density of the brush creates a smooth, even, and airbrushed application every time, taking the guesswork out of brushwork. Flat edges fit the linear contours of your face, while curved corners allow for targeted, more precise application. Long, flexible bristles make a variety of application techniques possible including: targeted application, stippling, blending, contouring, and highlighting.

What else you need to know:
The bristles are free of dye, ensuring they will not lose shape or softness over time, and the unique shape of the handle and soft-touch finish provide complete control during application, allowing you to create your desired look.

becca the one perfecting brushThis brush is firm and sturdy, but at the same time is a little fluffy and very soft.  It’s definitely usable with foundations and liquid, but I much prefer it for powder formula.  I use this brush daily for my bronzer, contour, blush and highlighting and it allows me to move a lot quicker from one into the other, and blending is seamless.  For blush, do note that you need to be careful that you aren’t applying to too large of an area.  I recommend swirling just one side of the brush into your blush to apply at the desired area.

My OCD honestly won’t let me use this brush daily for an entire application process of makeup.  I’d have to spot clean it in between products and deep clean in between uses.  It just feels like a lot.  Cost wise it’s still a good deal because I’d use it for bronzer, blush, highlighting and contour.  So it’s 4 brushes in one for me.

Which is your favorite way to use this brush?

Becca ECLIPSED Ultimate Eye Colour Quad Swatches, Review & EOTD

IMG_7391What the Sephora website says about the Becca Ultimate Eye Colour Quad:

What it does:
Color, contour, and highlight the eyes with one luxe palette. Four velvety smooth powder shadows in matte, demi-matte and metallic finishes offer ultimate looks in a complete wardrobe of intense color with rich dimension. Highly pigmented mineral powders build quickly and blend easily for lasting color in a silky smooth finish.

This set contains:
- 4 x 0.07 oz Eye Shadows

What else you need to know:
This formula is enriched with antioxidant vitamin E that helps to protect the skin from free-radical damage and provides moisturizing and anti-inflammatory properties. They also contain a special blend of powders and emollient agents for a soft, smooth, and uniform application. These shadows are free of fragrance and preservatives.

IMG_7424 IMG_7435IMG_7417 IMG_7420IMG_7399IMG_8353Eclipsed (metallic silver/ metallic champagne/ metallic khaki/ metallic moss) is a great palette of neutrals and deep khaki shades.  (side note, I see the “metallic khaki” shade as more of a satiny brown…) Easily transitional from work-safe to smokey! The shadows all have a nice pigment, texture and blend very well.  I experienced no fall-out with three of the shades, but the metallic moss shade gave me a bit at the corner, which was fine because you can use it to smoke out the eye underneath.

The beauty of this quad is that it’s portable and durable with an included mirror.  It would be simple to create a work-safe look and smoke it out with the darkest shade for evening (as shown below).

Unlike with Galactica, I went my own way with this EOTD.  I took the metallic khaki (or satin brown lol) and applied it all over the lid leaving the inner corner bare.  Next I put the metallic silver into the crease and blended up.  The metallic moss deepened the outer V area and I used the metallic champagne at the inner corners of the eye and to blend out the metallic silver.  I used the bit of fall out of the metallic moss shade and blended it with the metallic champagne shade to smoke out under the eye.  The liner is MAC Orpheus Power Kohl and the used is IT Cosmetics Hello Lashes.

Becca GALACTICA Ultimate Eye Colour Quad Swatches, Review & EOTD

The Becca Ultimate Eye Colour Quad is available in five different color combos – Astro Violet, Eclipsed, Night Star, Sun Chaser and today’s post of Galactica.

IMG_5902 IMG_5903 IMG_5909 IMG_5915 IMG_5917IMG_6403Galactica (matte ebony/ metallic peach/ metallic brown/ dark matte brown) is the perfect palette to reach for when you need a quick, neutral eye with sheen.  The shadows all have a nice pigment, texture and blend very well.  I experienced no fall-out with any of the shades.

The beauty of this quad is that it’s portable and durable with an included mirror.  It would be simple to create a work-safe look (as shown below) and smoke it out with the darkest shade for evening.

For this EOTD I went with the directions that I found on the Sephora website, which was to apply the lightest shade from lash line to brow, mix the two medium shades for the crease and finish by smudging the deepest shade in the palette closely into the top and bottom lash line.  The mascara used is MAC Plushlash.

BECCA Moonstone Shimmering Skin Perfector SPF 25+, Lychee Beach Tint, Songbird Mineral Blush Swatches & Review

Have you guys seen all of the new brands at Sephora lately?  One that I know I’m excited about is BECCA

BECCA is a brand that I’ve heard a lot about, seen a lot about, but have never been able to try.  For now, the range available at Sephora is limited, but hopefully in time they’ll get a broader selection.  If the buzz is any indication BECCA will be extremely popular to all of the beauty insiders that frequent Sephora locations as well as at Sephora.com.

Three products from the line that are available at Sephora are the Shimmering Skin Perfector SPF 25+ ($41.00), the Beach Tint ($25.00) and the Mineral Blush ($32.00).

The Shimmering Skin Perfector SPF 25+ (shown in the shade Moonstone, which is a pale gold) is a sheer liquid highlighter and moisturizer that veils skin in a soft, pearly glow. Use a very small amount either mixed with your foundation or dab a bit on cheekbones, brow bones, temples, bridge of the nose, and Cupid’s bow (basically anywhere that needs a bit of luster!).

I found the shimmer in this product to be very subtle, making it wearable for day.  The effect is luminous, dewy and natural.

The Beach Tint (shown in the Lychee, which is a hot pink) is a créme stain that tints lips and cheeks with a natural wash of color. Shake before using.

I love products such as this.  For application, I like to squeeze a bit out on my fingertips and dot the product along my cheek.  After that I use my Sigma F80 Brush and buff it out.  It just gives the perfect amount of product coverage and placement every time.  The finish is natural and easy to blend.

The Mineral Blush (shown in Songbird, which is a peachy pink) is a delicate powder blush infused with micro-fine minerals that deliver a soft glow.

This blush is insanely pigmented and so gorgeous on.  All you need is to tap your blush brush in lightly and apply sparingly.  It’s easy to apply, blend, and build on.  One compact should last you a good long time.
