AVEENO POSITIVELY RADIANT Intensive Night Cream Photos & Review

It’s really no secret that Aveeno is one of my favorite brands in terms of skincare and still has some of my favorite body moisturizers. Now there is a new product for the face said to smooth, brighten and have you looking fresh in the morning – Aveeno Positively Radiant Intensive Night Cream.

This night cream smells amazing, and a little bit of product goes a long way. If you overuse it’s definitely going to feel greasy, so start out with a small amount. You can always add on some more if you still feel dry. I used very little and when I woke up in the morning my skin still felt hydrated.

Aveeno Clear Complexion BB Cream Swatches & Review

Aveeno has long been my go-to with their Skin Relief line. With my sensitive skin, especially in the dry Winter months, I need all of the help I can get and Aveeno was the first brand that I tried that got me there.

Now they’re giving me one better with the launch of their Clear Complexion BB Cream! The shade swatched in this post is in Fair to Light and is unfortunately the only shade available at this time. Hopefully there are darker shades to come!

The Aveeno Clear Complexion BB Cream provides a medium coverage without feeling heavy on your face. On days when I’m keeping my makeup natural I can actually forgo another foundation when I use this product because it hides my imperfections so well. In the Winter I’m plagued with an oily t-zone and dry cheeks and this product doesn’t maximize those issues or make them worse.

This dispenses out as a sort of whipped mousse like texture and one pump will be enough. I’ve found it was easier to dot the product all over my face then blend with my fingertips rather than use a brush.

Overall, I’m very pleased with this product and the only con I can think of is that it’s only available in the one shade.

Aveeno Skin Relief Healing Ointment Review

In addition to the bitter weather being absolutely vicious to your skin, the constant hand washing that cold and flu season requires makes hands crack and feel painful.

Since my skin is rather sensitive, the Aveeno brand has always been one of my top choices for lotions and creams because of it’s intense hydration and ability to settle itchy & problematic skin so quickly. To further calm and safeguard peeling and cracked skin Aveeno has developed the Skin Relief Healing Ointment.

Aveeno states that the Skin Relief Healing Ointment is:

From a dermatologist recommended brand, multi-purpose petrolatum helps soothe scaling, peeling and cracking skin and lips, while forming an occlusive layer on the skin’s surface for locking in moisture.
Targets extremely dry, chafed or cracked areas that require ointment for extra protection.
Soothes and protects skin from minor burns, scrapes and cuts.
Formulated with soothing ACTIVE NATURALS^® Triple Oat Complex using colloidal oatmeal for relief, oat essence to soothe, and oat oil to moisturize

I love using this ointment on my cuticles (they get SO dry from swatching polishes!) and also on the backs of my hands, which seem to get the driest after hand washing.

Perhaps the most amazing thing, though, is what this ointment did for my husband. He had a horrible and scaly gross patch of skin between his thumb and pointer finger. Lotions seemed to help but the redness and irritation was always there. This ointment healed his hand completely in two days. Even after the first day it was considerably better. It’s unreal how well this product works!

Aveeno Ultra-Calming Makeup Removing Wipes Review

Aveeno, as a brand, is like my best friend. And not the type of friend that is like a drinking buddy best friend, but an honest to goodness best friend that has your back and takes care of all of the crap that you are too lazy to do, but need to do. Like remove makeup.

I obviously wouldn’t ask anyone to remove my makeup for me (unless under dire circumstances), but I like to think that a best friend would. Aveeno has makeup remover wipes (who knew?!) that work with sensitive skin, remove all traces of makeup, and smell DIVINE.

When I wear a full on face of makeup, this is not something I’d use as my primary removal tool. You need your cleanser and all of the etc. for that. However, when you wake up in the morning, and your face just needs a refresher… this would be it. It’s also good to use when you didn’t do your whole face up and just dusted on a bit of powder and blush. Simple removal! OR… to get all that grime off of your face after working out. Gah.

Have you tried this product from Aveeno? I’ve officially added it to my HG skin care arsenal. My dresser is starting to look like an Aveeno ad.
