This past week I got the opportunity to sample and test one of the new arrivals from YBF - the Royalty Collectible Pewter Lipsticks. The lipstick is available in 2 colors, Royalty Red and Princess Pink, which we will be taking a look at today.
From the YBF Website:

The nourishing and luxurious, creamy lipstick glides on lips leaving them supple and soft. Whether you give this stunning lipstick away as a gift or keep it for yourself, you will never see another one like it! Like a precious jewel, it’s a rare find and true royal collectible, Girlfriend! And Oh yes princess, you’ll need a knight to carry this one for you —it’s a weighty matter that you’ll enjoy!

royalty collectible pewter lipstick - Both lipsticks feature several accentuating faux stones on case and allow for buildable color. You can use alone or layer with other shades and lip gloss while providing an elegant treat for your lips with appealing scents and taste.
The packaging of the YBF Royalty Collectible Pewter Lipstick is beyond fabulous. Heavy and elegant, it is something that you're going to want to hang on to long after the lipstick is gone. The craftsmanship of the case reminds me of the work that Wendell August Forge does (I love this place, it's local and their work is unparalleled).
Princess Pink is not normally a color I'd go for. It's a bright, frosty pink that has the purple undertone to it that just never works well for me. However, I felt that the lipstick did glide on smoothly, was nicely pigmented, and wore very well throughout the day. Princess Pink had the wear of a normal lipstick, a few hours without eating or drinking. Because of the heavy frost from this lipstick I recommend exfoliating your lips before you wear. I love to use LUSH Mint Julips!
There doesn't seem to be a big scent give off with this lipstick (if you're a fan of the vanilla scent that MAC gives off, for example) but there is a whiff of something that I can't quite put my finger on. It definitely isn't UN-scented, I'm just not sure what to compare it to.
YBF Royalty Collectible Pewter Lipsticks retail for $28.80. YBF products are available at the YBF Website, or on HSN. I'm definitely adding Royalty Red to my wish list, that color is right up my alley for Fall!
