Those who love makeup usually love chocolate. Since Too Faced knows it's fan base, they've combined two of my personal favorite things and created the decadent Chocolate Bar Eye Palette for Spring 2014.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
What else you need to know:
Too Faced Co-founder and Creative Director Jerrod Blandino learned of the healing properties of cocoa while getting a chocolate facial in Maui. With Chocolate Bar he created a first-of-its-kind palette that combines the healing benefits of chocolate with richly pigmented, velvety smooth shadows. Chocolate has been used for centuries for its soothing properties and to protect, condition, and heal skin that has been damaged by sun and wind. Studies have shown that the scent of cocoa powder can increase memory and brain power.
The outer packaging is girlie and appears as though it would be the wrapping around a candy bar. On the back it shows and lists all 16 eye shadow shades.
The packaging of the palette itself is yummy, a tin made and imprinted to look like it's a chocolate bar. On the back of the case is a short paragraph to get you hyped up and also to describe special features of the palette - such as the shadows are cocoa infused (and not in that cheap, fake chocolate way. They actually smell SO GOOD, not over powering in the least).
Also included is a How-To Glamour Guide, loaded up with three looks - Milk Chocolate, Semi-Sweet and Haute Cocoa.
Please note: No part of this product is edible. You would think that would go without saying... but apparently someone did something because Too Faced has placed a warning label of sorts on the packaging:
Don't eat the makeup, you guys. Just don't.
Now that we have that out of the way, let's check out this palette!
The Chocolate Bar Eye Palette is stuffed with 16 shades of treats for your eyes. I thought the quality of all of the shades was wonderful except for Candied Violet, which just felt a little dry (but very useable). Other than that you won't be hurting for fantastic pigment.
Your options for looks with this palette near unlimited. While this palette has plenty of neutral shades there are also tones of purple and even a deep golden brown that hits as khaki in some lights (Gilded Ganache).
The value is phenomenal and the palette is compact enough to take on vacation, even featuring a mid-sized interior mirror.
For the eye look below, rather than reference the included guide, I went for my own thing. I started with a thin layer of Urban Decay Primer Potion. Marzipan is all over the lid, Haute Chocolate is in the crease & outer V, Amaretto was used lightly above the crease and Champagne Truffle is lightly at the inner corners & to highlight. The top eyeliner is Urban Decay 24/7 Hustle Glide-On Eye Pencil & the lower eyeliner is NARS Puerta del Sol Larger Then Life Long-Wear Eyeliner and the mascara is Make Up For Ever Smoky Extravagant and Too Faced Better Than Sex layered.
How would you wear the shades in the Too FacedThe Chocolate Bar Palette?
