The title of this book is Timeless Desire: An Outlander Love Story and is written by Gwyn Cready. As a time travel romance, Timeless Desire begins and ends in present day Pittsburgh, PA and also takes us back to 18th century England and Scotland throughout the meat of the story.

The action begins immediately. No wasted time on back story and slow moving introduction. You won't need to worry about being confused. What you need to know is apparent, but it's weaved in throughout the beginning so that you're immediately rapt in the story.

Panna (aka Pandora, our heroine) is immediately drawn into a door (portal, if you will) and transported to the 18th century. To the world of Colonel James Bridgewater. They have a fire between them and their need for each other is apparent from the start (though not quite at the love level... yet, which makes it more believable).

In this time of war between England and Scotland, the romance between Panna and Bridgewater doesn't have time to be instantaneous. And, thankfully, our heroine isn't overly needy. Their desire for each other is clear, but a lot stands in the way. Eventually, they will develop a love, lust, and affection that will have them fascinated with each other. But can it span centuries? Can one of them leave their own time and give to the other, quite literally, everything?

It doesn't matter if you're not into history. You'll still enjoy this book because the author makes it easy to relate to the feelings that the main characters feel for each other.

In a nut shell: If you're into romance that isn't flighty or eye-roll-inducing, then YES you need to read this book. It combines romance, humor, action and is scintillating without being smutty. Every spare moment I had was spent with my face in this book (read: Kindle). I HAD to know what would happen next and how Panna and Jamie would end up. Without giving too much away, I was pleased and it's basically the exact ending I wanted.

Timeless Desire: An Outlander Love Story is available for purchase at Amazon. And, for kicks, because this author and I reside in the same area - an interview with Gwyn Cready in the local newspaper. For more information on Gwyn Cready and her other books, be sure to check out her website.
