DIY ultra-glam lashes in just two minutes? That sounds pretty amazing. This is the claim made on the Physicians Formula Eye Booster Instant Lash Extension Kit - one of the latest releases from one of my favorite drugstore brands. You guys know I'm not a DIY-er but I do love me some lash extensions and a easy-breezy at-home kit that doesn't require glue or even skill definitely sounds like something I can handle.
Obviously with a new-to-me kit like this I'm going to follow the instructions to get the best results.
HOW TO USE PHYSICIANS FORMULA EYE BOOSTER INSTANT LASH EXTENSION KIT:
Step 1 – Mascara: Sweep Lash Boosting Mascara to prep for fibers and layer on lash boosting ingredients. (pic #1)
Step 2 – Extensions: Brush-on extensions to upper lashes while mascara is still wet to instantly build lashes. (pic #2 below shows the mascara already on top of the lashes from this step)
Step 3 – Mascara: Reapply Lash Boosting Mascara to seal and set extensions.
Repeat Steps 2 & 3: Layer extensions and mascara again. Apply mascara to bottom lashes and brush off any stray extensions on face. Below pic #3 is a repeat of Steps 2&3.
In the pics above I used Hourglass Obscura Modernist Eyeshadow Palette (look break down here).
TIP. If you tap off some excess or blow lightly on the fiber wand you won't get as much fall out on your cheeks when you use. However, I did notice that my lashes weren't as extreme when I did this. Personally, I'll go ahead and brush off those fibers to get the extra major lash result.
I'm loving the drama this kit is providing to my lashes, particularly because there's length and major thickening. This is also definitely more cost effective than lash extentions and less time consuming. When I had my set put on last year it took almost 3 hours and needed maintenance within 2-3 weeks (they prefer you come in two). IIRC the full set was $125 normally (I went during a sale so it was $90) and fills are $50 and up depending on how many you need replaced. The Physicians Formula Eye Booster Instant Lash Extension Kit is Ophthalmologist-tested, non-irritating and safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers (like me!). It's also Hypoallergenic, Paraben Free, Gluten Free and Fragrance Free.
Have you tried out the Physicians Formula Eye Booster Instant Lash Extension Kit? I'd love to know your thoughts in the comments!
The Physicians Formula Eye Booster Instant Lash Extension Kit retails for $14.95 and is available at fine drug and mass-market stores nationwide. Available in Ultra Black.
