NARS Holiday 2014 is some pretty gorgeous stuff. I reviewed two pieces back in October and all that did was make me want the rest of it. Copious amounts of hauling ensued and here I am ready to share swatches of the three nail polishes released within the NARS Laced With Edge Collection - Barents Sea, Algonquin and Sherwood.
All of the swatches below are done using a base coat (Cult Nails Get it On), two coats of polish and a top coat (China Glaze Fast Forward Top Coat). I'm annoyed that my hand coloring looks so off, but I did choose the pictures based off of nail color accuracy. I guess I need to learn Photoshop LMAO Don't hate me too much!!
Barents Sea is a beautiful metallic royal blue. I don't wear blue polish all that much, but this was not one I could pass up. It's not particularly unique but something about it screams I NEED YOU.
Algonquin is a beautiful dusty lilac that appears a bit dull in the shade, but it's loaded with blue, purple and fuchsia shimmer. I don't own anything like it, personally... it's one of those shades you hold out in the sunlight and just keep staring at while you move your hand around and everyone looks at you like you're insane.
Sherwood is a gorgeous blackened mauve with shimmer. It was so hard to photograph to get the color to look accurate. This one I took using a daylight lamp over the flash, because the flash was making it look way more purple than it is. My absolute favorite of the three.
Never have I ever loved NARS Nail Polishes so much. There are many previous shades that I love... but not like this. These are going in with those shades I'd grab as I'm running out of a burning building. Just sayin'.
