I have a confession to make. This was not my intended eye shadow. I had actually gone to Sephora to purchase Lhasa Single Eyeshadow from the Spring 2012 release. I swear it was a row of Lhasa but someone must have played me and put a Biarritz back where it didn't belong. I'm sad because I'm lemming Lhasa like CRAZY and am devastated about the switch.
However, Biarritz is a shade I can get down with. I don't own many NARS Single Eyeshadows, but I like to own neutral shades in singles because they're versatile to use with anything.
What the Sephora website has to say about NARS Single Eyeshadow:
What it is:
Single-color eye shadows in an array of colors and textures.
What it does:
Mix and match NARS Single Eyeshadows to create great-looking personal combinations for the eyes. Textures range from translucent highlights and subtle mattes to shimmering glitters.
Size: 0.07 oz
Biarritz(creamy beige) is the perfect shade to highlight with and soften a darker color. There isn't any shimmer, so it's age appropriate for everyone and work safe.
I hope you can see the swatch well enough. The left side is a heavy swatch and the right side is blended out a bit. It REALLY matches the skin tone on my arm, and I actually contemplated whether or not I should even post a swatch photo.
In any event, it's actually a pretty shade and one that I would use as a daily highlighter. So in the end, it's fate.
NARS Single Eyeshadows retail for $24 each and are available at Sephora.
