Since I was so impressed with the quality of the Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Con No.7 – Plush Shadow in Starlet, of course I had to get the rest of them ;)
The Marc Jacobs Style Eye-Con No.7 – Plush Shadow in The Vamp is filled with 7 shades to help you create multiple come-hither looks, from white to blue to green to maroon... definitely not for the faint of heart.
What Sephora says about Marc Jacobs Beauty Style Eye-Con No.7 – Plush Shadow:
What it is:
A super skinny, sleek palette of seven eye shadows that harmoniously marry with a creamy, sumptuous finish.
What it does:
A super skinny and sleek design will instantly make these seven harmonized shadows become your eye essentials. Each palette of shimmery metallics, buttery mattes, and lustrous sheens are made with advanced pigments that allow true, instant color payoff, and long-lasting plush performance. Marc invites you to play and become your own Style Eye-Con.
This set contains:
- The Vamp 208: midnight blue with iridescent shimmer, silver taupe sheen, matte off-white, metallic burgundy, metallic jade green, metallic golden brown, black with iridescent shimmer.
Packaging wise the case is made up of a black, shiny plastic. The look is sleek and slender & when you pop it open you’ve also got a mirror. It comes with a pouch to store it in and keep the case from getting scratched up or dirty. There is also a little sponge-tipped applicator in there, which I throw out.
Vamp has seven shades (L-R) in Navy, Silver, White, Maroon, Green, Khaki and Black. Probably not a collection of shades that you'd immediately pair up, but somehow they work.
The shadows are vivid, feel soft, look pigmented, are perfectly blendable... just as lovely as Starlet, though not as readily wearable on a daily basis.
For the EOTD I primed the lid with Urban Decay Primer Potion. I dusted the white shade (shade #3) all over from lid to brow, put the maroon shade (shade #4) through the crease, blending up, and the navy shade (shade #1) in the outer V. The top liner is Marc Jacobs Beauty Blacquer and Marc Jacobs Beauty Jazz(berry) is on the bottom. The mascara is Too Faced Better Than Sex.
