It's likely somewhere in this blog you've read about my hair woes. They are a plenty.

One of the biggies is the amount of frizz that my hair likes to produce. It's fierce and hard to manage. I've always wanted to be one of those girls who could go to bed with wet hair and wake up with no frizz and straight hair... or even a nice wave.

Since the dawn of Keratin, I've had my eyes set on giving one a try. The biggest thing that was stopping me was the cost. To go to a salon and have this done is quite a lot of dough. The type of dough that would REALLY eat into my makeup fund.

Marc Anthony Hair Care has the answer. An affordable Keratin Smoothing System that works - bye bye FRIZZ.

What the Marc Anthony website has to say about the bye bye FRIZZ Keratin Smoothing System:

“Clients love it when they leave the salon with a perfectly smooth sleek finish. We know they’d like to get that frizz-free look every day. bye.bye.Frizz is a frizzy girls dream since it not only removes frizz, it makes your hair so much easier to blow out and style. Plus, your hair will never feel softer or look shinier. Like we said… it’s a frizzy girls dream.”

It all begins with the cuticle; the outermost part of the hair shaft that protects the inner structure of the hair and gives it strength. It looks very much like overlapping layers of roof shingles. When the cuticle is lying flat or closed it looks smooth and allows light to be reflected off the surface giving hair a natural sheen. When the cuticle is open hair appears frizzy, dull and coarse.

The entire bye.bye.Frizz collection is designed to solve frizzy hair issues by smoothing the cuticle and retaining moisture with the power of Keratin. Get ultimate frizz control.

You start off by applying the 30 Day No Frizz Smoothing Treatment:

With this treatment, you won't have to worry about foul smelling chemical odors... it smells chocolately sweet. It's also much easier to apply than I thought. You're supposed to make sure that you don't apply too much product to one area. Of course I'm thinking... well how in the heck do you even KNOW what is too much? You will know. Blot with a paper towel to remove excess!

After each section of hair, comb through to make sure the treatment distributes evenly.

A tip on the bag. Get someone to help you put it on. It's not really the finest of head bags, a shower cap (or something with elastic on the ends) would be much easier, though I don't know if it would be as effective. My hair isn't long, and I had a hard time keeping this on. I imagine the longer your hair is, the harder it will be. Once it's on, sit still or it'll slip around.

Once you're done with each step of the system, you shouldn't wash your hair for 48 hours. You won't really NEED to anyway. I'm usually a grease ball after one day, but the next morning I woke up with nice hair that didn't even look like it needed brushed!

When it's time to finally scrub your head, it's best to use the Keratin Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner:

Then, apply a light dollop of Keratin Smoothing Blow Dry Cream and get to styling!

After applying the lotion it says to brush straight while blow drying (?) - so I didn’t section my hair (as I normally do) because I wanted to see how it did just with the blow dryer and brush. My hair did lay a lot flatter, but I still needed to run my InStyler through it. Not as much or as long as normal, but quickly over top because I had some layers sticking out. It doesn’t look flat or greasy, which is a nice plus. My two front cowlicks are there a little bit, so I had to Instyler those out as well. They aren’t as bad as usual, though.

Sorry for the huge hair photo (which was taken after the initial treatment), but I just had to show how sleek and shiny this system made my hair.

After the system is washed out and you're just using the shampoo and conditioner, you don't wake up with the perfect hair, however styling is super easy.

While it wasn't a the dream of waking up with hair perfection, this system cut styling and dry time in half (at least). My hair is free of fly-aways and pesky random curl. It's actually been over the 30 day mark and I'm still loving the results.

Obviously, everyone has a different hair texture. This is just my experience with the products and my particular and temperamental hair texture. It works well for me, and hopefully it will for you too!
