For Summer it's hard to really
to do stuff with your eyes for day. In the midst of it all Summer weather can be brutal between heat and moisture, a combo deadly for freshly applied makeup. We've already touched on
, so I wanted to get into something I might do for a sultry Summer evening - good for anything from a late night beach party to a private patio dinner al fresco.
This isn't your standard Summer bright eye look, but rather a golden purple eye using the new MAC Eyeshadow Quad in Temperature Rising.
The Temperature Rising Eyeshadow Quad (Performance Art - frosted golden mauve, veluxe pearl; Temperature Rising - light warm tanned peach, lustre; Swelter - midtone grey violet, frost; Beauty Marked - charcoal black with red pearl, velvet) is a lovely quad to work with. Separately, I don't know if I'd enjoy Beauty Marked as much (since it's a little dry) but with this quad it's perfection and molds itself well into the outer V.
Below I began my Summer EOTD by prepping the eye with Urban Decay Primer Potion. Swelter is all over the eye lid, Performance Art blended above that, Temperature Rising is at the inner corners and blended above Performance Art, Beauty Marked is in the outer V. I also dabbed a bit of Temperature Rising underneath the outer half of the lower waterline.
If you're more inclined to create something a little more tanned and teal, you could always go for the other quad in this collection, Bare My Soul.
