This Black Friday MAC is offering up an exclusive online-only edition of Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadow in Smoky Black Friday. This trio of shades are all you need for the perfect, smokiest eye ball in all of the shopping land. Just add mascara.
The Veluxe Pearlfusion Shadows can be applied dry (for a lightweight, not so intense look) or wet (which gives them a more saturated and metallic look). I find them soft and easy to use either way, but for a really smoky look applying them with a damp brush is the way to go. Smoky Black Friday has an icy white, a metallic silver that almost boasts a hint of lilac and a black shade which also appears to swatch with a bit of purple, though that doesn't translate so much to the eye. Below the shades are swatched dry on the right and wet on the left.
In the eye look below I'm wearing UDPP as a base with the black shade on the lid and into the crease, the silver in the crease blended up and the white to highlight. All shades were used slightly dampened. I took a bit more of the black shade to wing out the look at the outer corner and then smudged a bit of the black and silver mixed under the lower eye lid. I only have liner on the bottom waterline which is Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Perversion. The mascara is Milani Total Lash Cover and Tarte Lights Camera Lashes layered and the Tarte alone on the bottom.
MAC Smoky Black Friday retails for $25.00 and is available exclusively on maccosmetics.com on Black Friday (aka November 28, 2014).
