MINERALIZE CHARGED WATER FACE & BODY mixed with STUDIO FINISH SPF 15 CONCEALER and blended into skin to remove any redness while providing a luminous, clean finish. M·A·C PRO WHITE FACE & BODY just a touch was blended into skin for a polished effect, using 252 LARGE SHADER and 190 FOUNDATION BRUSHES to apply. M·A·C PRO INVISIBLE SET POWDER applied only where needed to eliminate unwanted shine.

EYES

Brows are brushed upwards to groom. EXTENDED PLAY LASH ENDLESSLY BLACK MASCARA a whisper amount is applied to lightly tint lashes.

LIPS

M·A·C PRO RICH PURPLE CHROMAGRAPHIC PENCIL layered over the lip’s natural shape, being careful to not overdraw. RUBY WOO LIPSTICK applied in opaque layer over lips with 213 FLUFF BRUSH. CLEAR LIPGLASS lacquered over lips for a glossy finish.

NAILS(KEYED BY KERI BLAIR)

HANGIN LOOSE (LIMITED EDITION) AND COFFEE BREAK NAIL LACQUERS  mixed together and finished with MATTE TOP COAT for an opaque nude.

FACE

ALEX

FACE & BODY FOUNDATION blended over moisturized and primed skin to even and tone. STUDIO FINISH SPF 15 CONCEALER applied as needed to perfect. PREP + PRIME TRANSPARENT FINISHING PRESSED POWDER swept over the face to set and polish. M·A·C PRO PURE SCULPTURE blended under cheekbones to contour.

EYES

TEDDY EYE KOHL applied through the upper and lower lashline. FELINE KOHL POWER EYE PENCIL used to fill in-between lashes. M·A·C PRO ROOT CREAM COLOUR BASE blended all over the eyelid for a creamy contour. M·A·C PRO SHINE MIXING MEDIUM applied to lower lashline for added dimension. HAUTE & NAUgHTY BLACK MASCARA generously applied over lashes for a full look.

LIPS

M·A·C PRO CRIMSON LIPMIX blended over the entire lip. DARE YOU LIPSTICK used to balance and define the lip. M·A·C PRO BASIC RED PIGMENT pressed into Crimson to intensify and leave with a velvety, matte finish

MINERALIZE CHARGEd WATER GEL massaged into skin to instantly hydrate and illuminate. FAST RESPONSE EYE CREAM blended around eyes to soothe, replenish, and revive. M·A·C PRO WHITE FACE & BODY mixed into lighter shades of F & B and blended into skin to even and pale. M·A·C PRO CONCEAL AND CORRECT PALETTE buffed under eyes and over the face as needed to brighten and perfect. LUNA CREAM COLOUR BASE blended over the high planes of the face to highlight. PREP + PRIME TRANSPARENT FINISHING POWDER buffed over the T-Zone to provide a matte finish to skin.

EYES

COPPER SPARKLE PIGMENT brushed through the crease and over the arch of the browbone with 217 BLENDING BRUSH, then swept through the inner lower lashes to frame the eye. CLEARWATER AND TAILOR GREY PAINT POTS (AvAILABLE AUTUMN/WINTER 13) mixed together and applied over the eyelids with 239 Eye Shader Brush, and then pulled out to the sides of eye to extend. CLEAR BROW SET combed upwards through the brow to groom. Lashes were curled and left bare.

LIPS

LIP CONDITIONER applied to nourish and condition the lips with a natural finish.

Gareth Pugh (Dark Eye)

STUDIO SCULPT SPF 15 FOUNDATION mixed with Strobe Cream and buffed over the face with 188 Small Duo Fiber Face Brush to perfect and create a natural, dewy look to skin. CAMEL COAT PAINT POT (AVAILABLE AUTUMN/WINTER 13) lightly applied with fingertips to sculpt cheeks.

EYES

M·A·C PRO SOOT EYE SHADOW PP moistened and brushed on with 217 BLENDINg BRUSH through the socket, and inner and outer corner of the eye with a purposeful messiness in style and technique. M·A·C PRO NAVAL EYE SHADOW PP heavily dabbed onto the centre of the upper and lower eyelid. PLUMAGE EYE SHADOW pushed into the inner and outer corner of the eye. HAUTE AND NAUGHTY BLACK MASCARA “globbed” on both upper and lower lashes. BLOOZ EYE KOHL applied through the waterline. CLEAR BROW FINISHER used to push brows inward and upward.

LIPS

CAMEL COAT PAINT POT (AVAILABLE AUTUMN/WINTER 13) dabbed over lips to soften and nude. M·A·C PRO SOOT EYE SHADOW PP used with 224 TAPERED BLENDING BRUSH to shade through the inner corners of the lip, contouring to make it appear as though the girl’s were breathing in soot.

EYES

QUARRY EYE SHADOW blended through the crease and inner corner of the eye, then through the lower lashline to shape and contour. SATIN TAUPE EYE SHADOW blended over the eye with a big, fluffy brush, adding dimension. All looks were slightly distressed: eyes were first executed perfectly, and then had parts rubbed or removed to give each look a unique, worn feeling. In addition, the “fall out” left under eyes organically from applying shadows was left behind.

LIPS

CAMEL COAT PAINT POT (AVAILABLE AUTUMN/WINTER 13) dabbed over lips to soften and nude. M·A·C PRO SOOT EYE SHADOW PP used with 224 TAPERED BLENDING BRUSH to shade through the inner corners of the lip, contouring to make it appear as though the girl’s were breathing in soot.

NAILS

NOCTURNELLE NAIL LACQUER applied over nails for a deep base. FROZEN WHITE PIGMENT just a touch was used to give a “frostbitten” look to nails. GRAPHITE, MADE FROM MILLED PENCIL SHAVINGS, WAS RUBBED AROUND THE CUTICLES AND KNUCKLES OF MODELS WEARING BLACK AND GREY TO APPEAR DISTRESSED AND GRUBBY.
