The ONLY lippie I picked up from MAC Semi-Precious was Gem of Roses. Don't get me wrong, the rest are GORGEOUS, and I actually did almost get Lush Amber (obviously that one is RIGHT up my alley), but they just didn't call out to me as shades that I would wear or need. I know this is technically a Fall launch, but I can't get into a deep lippie frame of mind right now when I'm sweating my butt off.

Gem of Roses is described on the maccosmetics.com website as a Mid-tone Strawberry Pink (Lustre). The Lustre formula is one of my favorites for MAC lipsticks. Lustre makes all shades wearable.

I would personally describe Gem of Roses as Perfectly Pretty Pink (say it 5 times fast)! That phrase immediately came to my head as I applied this shade. Lustre lippies are moisturizing. They stick around on your lips as much as any normal lippie would... a few hours... unless you eat or drink then it's gone.

I think this shade will pretty much work for everyone, unless you really don't personally like pinks.

Gem of Roses
is limited edition with the MAC Semi-Precious Collection and currently sold out on the MAC website (which happened CRAZY fast), but you can still pick it up at your local MAC store or counter, or online at Nordstrom.com - while supplies last. Call ahead to check on availability.
