L'Oreal Paris has a new type of lip product on the shelves in their Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain. A row of twelve shades are available for choosing, but I took the safe route and went with Eternally Nude.
What the L'Oreal Paris website says about Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain:
Discover a stain that thinks it’s a gloss. Now hydration & shine meet lasting, lightweight color. Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain combines the power of a lip stain with lip-gloss luster. This next generation lip stain, formulated with a blend of light hydrating oils & concentrated pigments, delivers lasting color with a glossy finish. Packed with 30% water, Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain leaves lips soft, comfortable and hydrated for up to 6 hours.
Eternally Nude is a rosy brown tinged nude. Definitely on the sheer side. I was impressed that this went on easily and stayed glossy without drying out my lips. Unfortunately it only hung around for about 2 hours and there was no stain lingering on the lips to attempt a color revive with gloss.
My expectations might have been too high for this one. I expected it to be like the YSL Glossy Stains that I love so much, just cheaper. This particular shade is definitely pretty and easy to apply, so at least it's got that going for it and can make me happy in that way.
In addition to today's post of Eternally Nude there are also 11 other shades of this stain available. Which will you choose?
L'Oreal Paris Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain retails for $9.99 and is available at Ulta as well as at drugstores nationwide.
