Hair by Odile Gilbert for Kérastase Paris

Overall look - A haircut for everyone: Grungy-romantic with a cool girl look.

Theyskins Theory / September 5, 2012New YorkGreg Kessler

Steps:

  • Odile prepared real-hair wigs for 40 models; each with a custom color tailored to the specific look, complexion and eye color
  • Before applying wigs, tresses were prepped with Nectar Thermique. The nourishing treatment gives model's hair a break from the rigor of fashion week
  • Weave bobby pins in a horizontal pattern to hold hair in place, smoothing hair to compliment the shape of head
  • Apply a hair net and wig
  • Run a quarter-size amount of Nectar Thermique through the ends and spritz with and water in a spray bottle, creating textured waves
  • Before hitting the runway, Odile cut each wig to create movement, then misted hair with Double Force hair spray for hold

  • Nectar Thermique – leave-in, nourishing heat protectant for dry hair that provides optimal shine from roots to ends
  • Double Force Hair Spray – multi-protective hairspray, which helps to strengthen the hair fiber and provide controlled hold
