Lex Cosmetics is a brand known for "the vote". You can create your own polish and have people vote on it. If your shade has the most votes, they'll create it!
The Story of Tuilleries is absolutely beautiful, and makes perfect sense with the polish - from the Lex Cosmetics website:
First, tulips are one of the first signs that spring is really, truly, finally here! Second, they always remind me of my mother..... I would love to have a color that can represent her in every way: in beauty, in color, in her favorite things, and in her uniqueness. My color would be light pinkish-red with glass-like flecks of silver, red, pink, and orange within it to showcase the depth of both tulips and my mother.
$1 will be donated to lung cancer research.
Tuilleries has a sheer milky pink base speckled with large red, orange, fuchsia and silver hex glitter, as well as smaller glitters of the same shades. The above swatch is of three coats (first swatch pic w/ flash, second without flash), but it even looked good with one. With one coat it was a toned down version of what you see above... much much more sheer of a base and a lot less glitter.
What I liked the most about this shade, is that even though it has that smattering of glitter (which can be so temperamental) I didn't have to work to place them. Sometimes with a polish similar to this one, you end up with the larger glitter settling at the top of the nail, and you have to sit there and move it around so it doesn't look all crazy. Not with Tuilleries. Very little work, lots of beautiful. And it really does remind me of spring Tulips!
I've worn this polish for a few days and have had very little wear show. With a light shade like this it's hard to comment on wear, but it's still lookin' pretty good, and I put my hands through Hades and back. You can kind of feel the glitter, even with a top coat, but not too badly. It's not a top coat eater, which is nice since I don't particularly love to feel gritty nails.
Tuilleries retails for $10.00 on the Lex Cosmetics website, with $1 from each sale going to Lung Cancer research.
