Earlier this year I introduced you to the Lancome Color Design Shadow & Liner Palette in Taupe Craze. Choosing Taupe Craze was difficult, as I wanted ALL of the Color Design Palettes. Recently, on Facebook, a buddy of mine posted her swatches and FOTD of Emerald Boudoir.
From the Nordstrom website:
Infinitely luminous. Sensationally smooth. All-in-one five-shadow palette to brighten eyes. Lancôme's new versatile palette conveniently creates a full eye look for day or night. Experience the newest generation of luminosity as silky lustrous powders transparently wrap the skin, allowing a seamless layering of pure color for a silky sheen and radiant finish. Build with absolute precision and apply the shades in five simple steps (all over, lid, crease, highlighter and liner) to design your customized eye look. Contour, sculpt and lift in soft day colors or intensify with dramatic evening hues for smoldering smoky effects. Long-wear, 8-hour formula. Color does not fade, continues to stay true.
I am completely in love with Emerald Boudoir. Like with Taupe Craze, the pigment in these is fabulous, though the shades are soft, resulting in quite a bit of fall out. So I do recommend you doing up your eye makeup before your face makeup, so you can clean up any shadow that may have landed on your face during application.
The neutral shades pair well together with that pop of Emerald to give your look a fun summer feel. I find with these palettes I do best when I don't completely follow the directions. They're a great stepping stone, but it's important to remember to do what you like. Don't buy a Color Design Palette and feel you HAVE to use it the way they tell you to! The handy guide is just there to give you inspiration and get you comfortable with using the shades together.
Lancome Color Design Shadow & Liner Palettes retail for $48 and can be purchased at your local Lancome counter, Sephora.com, Lancome.com, Nordstrom...etc. I would call ahead to check for availability. One of my Macy's had no idea what I was talking about when I asked for this specific palette, but another Macy's had a slew of them.
