I don't think a Dior collection has gone by where I've been able to pass up buying at least one nail lacquer.

When photos of the Summer 2012 Croisette collection hit, the polishes didn't make me swoon, and here I ended up taking home both of them! Previously I reviewed Saint Tropez, and now I'm all set to make you fall in love with Bikini231.

What the Sephora website has to say about Vernis Nail Lacquer:

What it is:
A dazzling, chip-resistant nail lacquer.

What it does:
Dior Vernis Nail Lacquer will add a splash of luminous color to any look. The long-lasting, glossy formula goes on silky smooth and the vibrant shade adds a tantalizing touch to fingertips and toes.

Bikini is a dusky, light salmon cream. As always, Dior polishes apply and wear flawlessly and have the BEST brush (on the thick side with a pointed tip). This shade is on trend with the season, but is a much more toned down and work safe shade than the neon orange/tangerine we've been seeing so much of this year! I used three coats for the swatch photo, but you would be fine with two.

When I first saw photos and swatches of Bikini it made me think of OPI Call Me Gwen-ever.

(pinkie & middle finger - OPI, ring & pointer finger - Dior)

As you can see from the pic above, the OPI is much more of an orange based coral, whereas the Dior is a pink based coral. Ew, I hate to be wrong ;) But at least now you know that you need both *tee hee*

Dior Vernis Nail Lacquer retails for $23.00. Bikini is currently available at Sephora (where it’s marked as Limited Edition), as well as at your local Dior counter or store and online at Dior.com.
