A few days ago I shared one of the most gorgeous eye shadow palettes in existence, the Dior Bonne Etoile 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette from the Fall 2013Mystic Metallics Collection. Now, I finally bring the other palette in this collection, a Nordstrom exclusive, Constellation.

What Nordstrom says about Dior Constellation 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette:

The iconic Lucky Star 5 Couleurs palette is embossed with Dior’s Lucky Star, eyeshadows shimmer with iridescence in shades of violet and silver.

Constellation has five shades of greyed lilac, a muted golden taupe, eggplant, plum and a frosted pale lilac.

The two deep purple shades are basically twins to each other when applied, but the plum purple (with the stars) isn't super great to work with on the eye. Blending wise I found it rather gritty. This particular shade would be best used wet as a liner. The muted golden taupe is gorgeous, but glitter will fall all over. Be sure to do your face makeup after your eyes to allow for clean up.

With that in mind, this palette is still gorgeous to look at and a decent combo for purple lovers. The shades work well together and make for a sultry purple eye.

For this EOTD I began by applying a thin layer of Urban Decay Primer Potion. The muted golden taupe shade is all over the lid, the plum shade is at the outer V and also a bit at the outer lower part of the lash line, the eggplant shade is in the crease, the frosted pale lilac shade is at the inner corners and to highlight and the greyed lilac shade is used to blend out the crease color. The eye liner is Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Delinquent. The mascara is MAC Plushlash.

Dior Constellation 5 Couleurs Eyeshadow Palette retails fro $61.00 and is available exclusively at Nordstrom. This palette is limited edition.
