Have you jumped on this precleanse bandwagon? I haven't until now. Sure, I'd definitely heard about it (I suck hard at my job if I hadn't at least looked into it a bit) but I really didn't see why it was necessary if your usual cleanser, toner and the etc were doing the trick. Dermalogica PreCleanse Oil & PreCleanse Wipes have brought me to team PreCleanse.
PreCleanse Oil. The directions state to apply with dry hands to dry face. I can't even sugar coat how nasty that felt to me. I actually cringed as I massaged the oily onto my face, BUT, I could really see in the mirror how the oily was lifting and breaking down the heavy makeup I was wearing that day. Then you're to emulsify the product by using water to dampen your hands a bit and again massaging the face.
PreCleanse Wipes. Good makeup wipes in general are seriously my favorite and these ones from Dermalogica are right at the top. So good for removing the gross from my face and they worked well with my sensitive eyes. I've found these are good for lighter makeup days when I don't need the oil to really break things down OR if you feel that you're in particular need of a double precleanse use the wipes first then follow up with the oil. If you travel the wipes would also be a friendlier option.
After all was said and done I found that after precleansing my cleanser just seemed to work that much better and my face felt so much more moisturized - particularly after precleansing with the oil. I'm Team PreCleanse and never looking back.
Do you precleanse? What do you use?
Dermalogica is available on the website where you can buy this as a set for $56.00.
