If ever there were a Chanel quad to splurge on, 43Mystere Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eyeshadow from the Fall 2013 Superstition Collection would be it. Seriously. Sit back, relax, and get your shopping fingers ready.

What Nordstrom says about the Chanel Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eyeshadow:

One essential compact offers unlimited eye looks, with shade combinations ranging from matte to frost to satin for multiple looks, contrasting or complementary. Apply dry for subtle shadowing. Slightly moistened applicator gives a more intense shade. Organic polymer derivatives ensure smudge-proof long wear, particularly in high temperature or humidity.

Mystere is a quad of four shadows - listed as a Golden Khaki, Golden Ivory, Silver Taupe, Matte Khaki. TBH I don't see the khaki. The top left shade you could call Khaki, but I'd be more inclined to call it a blackened olive with golden shimmer. The bottom right shade is more of a satin dark chocolate taupe. I swatched them above dry (no primer) with the included sponge tipped applicators. When applying to the eye they will look best and also hold up better through the day with a primer underneath.

Nine times out of ten I'm impressed with Chanel quads. But Mystere is on a whole other level of high quality. All four shades are feather light, yet pigmented. They apply to the eye easily and blend perfectly. The shades coordinate well whether you're going for a day look or a night look, and it would be easy to transition your look from work appropriate boss lady (or man) to happy hour honey.

As with all Quadra Eyeshadows from Chanel this palette is housed in the sleek plastic black case with the white double C's. The interior contains a mirror as well as two sponge tipped applicators.

For the EOTD below I started with Urban Decay Primer Potion and applied the Silver Taupe shade all over the lid. The Matte Khaki is in the crease and the Golden Khaki is in the outer V. The Golden Ivory was used at the inner corners of the eye and to blend out the crease/highlight. The eye liner is Chanel Noir Le Crayon Kohl and the mascara is MAC Plushlash.

As I was surfing the web I saw that this quad was listed as limited edition, so if you want it, you better get your hands on it.

Chanel Mystere Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eyeshadow retails for $59.00. The entire Chanel Fall 2013 Collection is available now at Nordstrom.
