Let's just cut right to the chase. I am likely going to have Chanel Dragon's babies. You'll see all over the internet how spectacular this shade is. I already had an HG red shade (MAC Cockney) so I never even swatched Chanel Dragon in person, thinking it'll always be around and I can pass.
Well, always isn't forever, apparently. Recently word broke (via Temptalia) that Chanel is discontinuing all but one of the Rouge Allure Laque. I'm pretty upset about it. Some of my other faves are Ming, Santal and Dynastie.
What the Chanel website has to say about Rouge Allure Laque:
Discover the pure indulgence of liquid lip lacquer, a colour innovation that could only come from CHANEL. Intensely rich colour and shine last for hours -- and the temptingly creamy formula conditions as it hydrates lips. All this, with full coverage, in eight stunning shades.
Dragon just totally speaks for itself. It's such an in your face, vibrant and pigmented red. The PERFECT red. Dragon offers full coverage shine. Thick as a lipstick, but glossy. Have I said perfect yet?
I truly hope Chanel rethinks their decision to discontinue most of the shades of the Rouge Allure Laque. It's a phenomenal lip product, and in my experience it's never a good idea to mess with perfection.
Rouge Allure Laque retail for $32 each. Currently Dragon seems to be sold out everywhere online, but I was able to score mine at my local Macy's where they had several.
