The Chanel Reflets d’ete de Chanel Collection for Summer 2014 is upon us and brings about two new and limited edition Joues Contraste Powder Blushes - 88 Vivacite and today's post of 89 Canaille.
Though the blushes in this collection are both limited edition the packaging is the normal glossy yet classy compact that Chanel is known for.
The compact comes with a full mirror and small blush brush (which I generally throw away because it's not something I ever use).
Canailleis a bronzey burnt orange powder blush, not shimmery but not matte. More like a luminous satin.
Formula wise this blush is soft, extremely pigmented and very easy to over-do it with. I dabbed my brush into the powder and tapped off the excess and it still gave me way too much color. I had to use my powder brush to blend over-top and bring down the intensity. That being said Canaille lasted the entire day on me, hanging around from morning until I took my makeup off at night (approx 10 hours).
(...pay no attn to that Easter basket in the corner...)
(eye look here, lips are Too Faced Melted Coral Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipstick (to be reviewed))
Have you picked up anything from the Chanel Summer collection? I grabbed a few more items, but was disappointed that there wasn't a fantastic eye palette.
