The theme for the June 2014 Beauty Box 5 is Summer Chic! Regardless if your channeling Audrey or Marilyn you need to know that less effort means more cool! BB5 recommends focusing on the iconic hot weather basics, some of which are included in this months box, just add that little white dress!
From Organix, Coconut Water Shampoo & Conditioner. I am obsessed with Organix Sea Mineral so I was jumping for joy when I saw these sample packets. When I bought the Sea Mineral set I went with the intent to get the Coconut Water set. I opted for Sea Mineral at the last minute. The Coconut Water smells amazing (it reminded me of Parrot Bay Rum!) and made my hair really hydrated & shiny. It's got coconut oil, electrolytes and is sulfate-free! Love!
From Nicka K New York, Nail Color. The shade I got is in NY139. It's a gorgeous crelly red that was nearly fully opaque in one coat. You have to watch a bit while painting because if you get too much product on the brush it will quickly run into the sides/cuticle area.
From Eslor, Introductory Collection Calming Kit. I'm currently testing another skincare product, so I couldn't test this one out by posting time, but it's a paraban free kit for you to use to experience Eslor's all star products - a soothing refiner & cleanser, replenishing scrub, comforting mask and soothing cream used to hydrate and protect the skin. It sounds amazing so it's in my cabinet for use later on!
From Vita Bath, Body Wash. The scent I received is in Wild Red Cherry. This wash is very fragrant and lathers up nicely. I love that it's full of antioxidants and is free of silicone!
From Glam Natural, Mascara. This mascara is said to be non-irritating and lifting. It did darken my lashes and give off a natural look, though I didn't think it did much else and it stayed wet for way too long. On the plus side, it is listed as gluten-free, paraben-free, hypoallergenic and vegan.
This months box was an excellent mix on makeup, haircare and skincare. I was really happy to get a full sized nail polish as well as try a product I've been looking forward to using.
Based off of this box it’s clear that the service is worth the $12.00 price tag. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s in store for July!
