Makeup Wars is back and this week we're sharing our favorite Holiday Beauty finds! I've already talked a bit about Holiday Makeup Must-Haves so for this post I wanted to focus on one brand that really captured my attention with a fun, new product. Of course I'm talking about PÜR Cosmetics and if you've been paying attention to my Snapchat you'll know that the particular product I'm talking about is the Transformation Sculpting Eye Shadow and Cheek Palette ($32.00 // ULTA Beauty).
The PÜR Cosmetics Transformation Sculpting Eye Shadow and Cheek Palette is a palette that features seven "putty-to-powder eye shadow and cheek shades" that provide "instant color payoff and adheres to the eye lid or cheek like a second skin".
Of the seven shades five are eye shadow (0.05 oz each):
- Original (champagne metallic)
- Alter (deep coral matte)
- Re-werk (deep plum with shimmer)
- Metamorphosis (true gold metallic)
- Bleeding Edge (true black with shimmer)
and two are cheek (0.08 oz. each):
- Tailor Made Bronzer (matte bronze)
- Brand New Blush (muted coral w/ shimmer)
The cheek shades feel much more cream than the shadows but they all quickly turn to powder when applied to the skin. That fact doesn't make any of them hard to work with. In fact, all seven colors in this palette are nicely pigmented and very blendable. Re-werk has a slight dry feel to it, but when you apply it and work it into your look you'd never know.
The very best part about this palette? You can literally transform the shades in it by blending them with other shades. My favorite combos are on top of Re-werk. If you lay down a base of that and pat Original or Metamorphosis it's the stuff of dreams. There are so many ways to play with this palette that you're definitely getting more than the seven shades.
Below this palette is swatched dry, on bare skin (no primer):
Fun fact: I had actually gone into ULTA Beauty to use a gift card and saw the new PÜR Cosmetics products on the shelf so I bought this palette and the liquid lipsticks set. A few days later a package showed up from PR with this palette in it again! Look for it in a giveaway very soon (hint: it's my birthday giveaway which is this week!).
