To resist anything metallic, particularly Rose Gold, is next to impossible for me. When Jouer took all those influencers to St. Tropez to launch the Skinny Dip Collection I followed along and fell in love with the products. I kept seeing more and more swatches of the Ultra Foil Shimmer Shadows Palette in particular and when Jeffree Star mentioned 100% of his Jouer discount code (the code is JSTAR) benefits the LA LGBT Community Center I had to jump on it. To get the free shipping also I had to toss in the St. Tropez Long-Wear Lip Topper as well. 😉

review & swatches
Ultra Foil Shimmer Shadows Palette. Each of the six shades in this palette is a new color. The shades are said to “deliver an intense, shimmering metallic finish. Layer together or use as a gorgeous glittering accent to your favorite looks”. The six shades include Star Light (metallic silver), Bikini (metallic peach), Skinny Dip (metallic gold), Tan Lines (metallic bronze), Magic Hour (metallic gunmetal) and Midnight Swim (metallic brown).
If you buy any high-end metallic eyeshadow palette this Summer it should be this one. All of the shades were so soft and pigmented. Very easy to blend. Bikini and Midnight Swim feel like they’re on the dry side when you touch your finger to them but that is completely deceiving because of the wonders they do on the eye. On me the shadows wore all day without fading or creasing (over primer). I’m not familiar with the quality of other Jouer eyeshadow palettes but they did a fantastic job with this one!
The palette is swatched below dry and on bare skin (no primers):
Lip Toppers. Of the three shades available I own two – St. Tropez (metallic shimmering champagne) and Skinny Dip (metallic shimmering golden nude). Skinny Dip is a repromoted shade so I had it from a previous order.
The Lip Toppers are a fun way to add some glam and flair to your lips, particularly if you’re getting bored of the matte lip trend. They’re mostly sheer and can be worn alone or on-top of another color. There is a glittery effect but I don’t find them to be grainy feeling, or sticky for that matter. Wear time is around 3 hours on me if I’m not eating or drinking.
Of course I’m going to tell you that you need the Ultra Foil Shimmer Shadows Palette. That’s a no brainer if you’ve been paying attention in this post or if you’ve looked at anyone else’s post or swatches. It’s your Summer splurge! As for the Lip Toppers they’re definitely pretty and if you like a bit of dimension to your lips without it looking like overkill then I’d recommend picking up one… of these two I like St. Tropez the best.
Have you picked up any of the Jouer Skinny Dip Collection? Tell me your faves in the comments and also lmk how you’re wearing the Ultra Foil Shadows!
