I’m a fan of most COVERGIRL mascaras. So when the COVERGIRL So Lashy! blastPRO Mascara ($11.99 // ULTA Beauty) launched I knew I had to get my hands on it, since normally my experiences are very positive AND because this wand is touted to work with any lash type – whether they’re short, straight, sparse, etc.
The wand is a “uniquely designed, 3-zone brush combined with a wetter formula”. This is to enable you to “experiment and customize your lash look, for dramatic and intense results no matter your starting point”.
Unfortunately, though I’m usually a fan of COVERGIRL Mascaras, I am not a fan of So Lashy! blastPRO. My lashes tend to clump together regardless of what I do, but generally I like the effect that most mascaras give. Some mascaras aren’t as bad as others. With this mascara it seemed like all of my lashes wanted to clump together into three groups per eye and I had to work with a tool to get them all separated. It took a lot of time to get them to look presentable. Even then they still were not where I’d like them to be even on my worst day.
On a positive note, my lashes did stay lifted all day and there was no flaking during application or throughout wear time.
What was your experience with COVERGIRL So Lashy! blastPRO Mascara? I saw a few positive reviews online so maybe my lashes just don’t jive well with the formula. I personally can’t recommend it, but I CAN recommend picking up Clump Crusher – which is my personal, COVERGIRL fave!
