Releasing at Sephora TODAY is the NARS Hardwired Eyeshadow Collection for Fall 2016. Six limited edition eyeshadow shades that are said to be “a rare combination of high-pigment with high-shine, ultrafine blends of shimmer, glitter, and pearl reflect light for eye-catching effects”.

The packaging is the same as a regular single eyeshadow from NARS – the black rubbery case with white print. When you open up the small compact there’s a mirror on the top half with the product on the bottom half.

Pygar (gold lamé)
Gold lamé is a bit of a put-off… I think of actual foiled gold when I see those words. Pygar is beautiful, but more of a metallic khaki with maybe a bit of that gold lamé strewn in. It’s stunning on it’s own or with just about any shade you feel like putting it with.

Stud (soft pewter bronze)
If you missed out on Stud when it came out in the NARS Steven Klein Holiday Collection then you must make sure to pick it up now! It was definitely a favorite then and it’s certain to sell out with this collection also. A beautiful greyed taupe… in the link above I wore it as a crease color with Never Too Late (the shade is similar to Pygar but not metallic at all).

Outer Limits (iridescent rose gold)
To get the maximum impact of this color I suggest wearing it wet and layering on the lid at least twice. This will provide maximum impact as well as help with any glitter fall-out. This would also be beautiful dusted dry on top of any matte or flat shades that you want to add some killer dimension to.

It’s impossible to capture how gorgeous this shadow is with my DSLR (I’m no good at those fancy settings) but I posted a cell phone pic to Instagram that caught it pretty well!

Can we just take a moment? @narsissist Outer Limits is OTHER LEVEL. #nars #presssample #narsissist #makeup #outerlimits #love #canteven ????????????

All of these eyeshadows are incredibly sparkly and metallic. You’ll get a more dense pigment and sheen if you apply them slightly wet and they’re meant for layering to add intensity. These shades wore all day for me when I put them over an eye shadow primer without creasing or fading.

Three other shades are also available in Earthshine(iridescent pink lilac), Lunar(soft iridescent violet) and Parallax(metallic dove grey). I’m in love with the drama in these metallics and hope NARS will continue to push out more shades in the Hardwired Eyeshadow line.

What shades are your must haves from the NARS Hardwired Eyeshadow Collection?

Each shade in the NARS Hardwired Eyeshadow Collection retails for $28.00 and will be available exclusively at Sephora on August 1, 2016. This collection is limited edition.
