For those of us that think that matte lipsticks could stand to be a little more comfortable, wearable and just all around better Urban Decay brings us the Matte Revolution. Of lipstick, that is.
These lipsticks are housed in purple boxes highlighted with silver print. Upon opening the box you’ll find a hefty, custom-designed pearlescent black colored tube with the lid stamped UD at the top and Urban Decay at the side.
The Urban Decay Matte Revolution Lipsticks ($22.00 // Sephora) are not traditional mattes in any way. One swipe gives a pigmented, velvety look to your lips – no dragging or skipping – you guys I didn’t even have to exfoliate before I wore these. That’s how smooth it is. The formula is creamy and comfortable to wear, lasting from 5-6 hours depending on the shade and what I was doing with myself (i.e. was I just hanging out? Or was I eating/drinking?). I’m wearing Stark Naked here and Bad Blood here.
11 shades of Urban Decay Matte Revolution are available in Stark Naked (matte light nude), Carnal (matte medium warm nude), 1993 (matte medium brown), Backtalk (matte mauve-nude pink), Bittersweet (matte bright purple), After Dark (matte medium-dark berry pink), Menace (matte medium fuchsia pink), Tilt (matte bright orange), Temper (matte bright orange-red), Bad Blood (matte deep red) and Blackmail (matte deep berry wine). Backtalk, Carnal and Blackmail are available on UrbanDecay.com and at freestanding stores only.
