Depending on how you look at it I’m the best or the worst person to test a new product for waterlining the eyes. Allergies and all around
bad luck make it so my eyes are incredibly watery – making it so most products tend do disappear from my waterline almost instantly. A select few last several hours but even less make it more than 2-3. When the Urban Decay 24/7 Waterline Eye Pencil ($20.00 // Sephora) popped up my excitement went through the roof.
Even the regular Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils disappear from my waterline area in a few hours (though thankfully don’t migrate down my face). I still do it, and just touch up. So, are the Urban Decay 24/7 Waterline Eye Pencils any better? I was surely hoping so… Because I’m a waterliner it drives me NUTS when I see eyeliner below the waterline. 9 times out of 10 that person has applied it way too low and it’s borderline Annabelle (that creepy doll…though if you look at pics even she waterlines… but it just makes me think of her bahaha).
Five shades, each with a demi-matte finish, are available in Push (navy), Mood (charcoal), Legend (black), Street (green) and Rail (brown).
Formula wise Rail and Street felt very dry to me when swatched. The other three were incredibly smooth. On the eye they all applied the same way with incredible pigment and ease (which is what really matters.. who wants a scratchy feeling on their eye?!). Wear time was a little better than the 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencils and I did experience less fading/disappearance. I didn’t feel like these were the best waterliners I’ve ever used in terms of staying power, but if you don’t experience eyes as watery as mine you may find that they last quite awhile. When the color did begin to fade I did not experience any color migration down my face.
What eyeliners do you use to waterline with?
