For their Holiday 2015 CollectionNARS has collaborated with iconic fashion photographer Steven Klein to create a collection where “exquisite fantasy played to extremes” is featured.

“Steven is an iconic fashion photographer. His work defies the rules of photography—it’s arresting and provocative. It pushes boundaries and elicits a reaction. I like that. He perfectly embodies the spirit of NARS.” —François Nars Founder & Creative Director

This entire collection includes the core color collection (some of which is shown in this post) along with a Holiday Gifting Collection, of which I want all the things.

Killer Shine Lipstick($29.00 // NARS Cosmetics). Three new and limited edition shades are released in No Shame (red plum), Besame Mucho(deep rose-beige) and Redemption(metallic pink champagne).

This new formula is incredibly creamy and I found the two shades I tested, No Shame & Besame Mucho, to have wonderful color, pigment and shine. Both were comfortable to wear and lasted around 4 hours on me.

Killer Shine Lip Gloss($28.00 // NARS Cosmetics). Three new and limited edition shades are released in Provoke (deep iris-purple), Fast Life(iridescent dusty rose) and Special Force(wild strawberry).

This new formula has a vinyl finish and a lacquer effect. I found the color I tested, Special Force, to be a beautiful, vivid and pigmented color. Special force wore comfortably alone and over other lip colors for around 4 hours. I didn’t find it to be sticky, but it was definitely shiny!

Single Eyeshadow($25.00 // NARS Cosmetics). Three new and limited edition shades are released in Mortal (iridescent pearl white), Stud(soft pewter bronze) and Never Too Late(olive green with gold shimmer).

Never Too Late

I tried out two of the shades in Never Too Late and Stud. I found both to be wonderfully soft and easy to apply – wearing all day long over primer. The color was intense and the sheen festive – I really love how Never Too Late looks when layered with Stud (shown below). Definitely one of my favorite holiday eye looks!

In the look below: (FACE)YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer, Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Foundation in Y245, Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Invisible Cover Stick Foundation in Y245, NARS Lovejoy Blush, Becca Champagne Pop Shimmering Skin Perfector, NARS Casino Bronzer, NARS Light Reflecting Loose Setting Powder. (EYES) UDPP, NARS Stud Single Eyeshadow (all over the lid and through the crease), NARS Never Too Late Single Eyeshadow (smudged at the upper and lower lash lines) NARS All About Eve Duo Eyeshadow (the left side was used to highlight), Clinique Olive-tini Skinny Stick, NARS Audacious Mascara, Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara, Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in Warm Blonde. (LIPS)NARS Besame Mucho Lipstick with Special Force Killer Shine Lipstick.

Nail Polish($20.00 // NARS Cosmetics). Three new and limited edition shades are released in Black Fire (shimmering slate blue), Hard to Get(metallic bronze gunmetal) and Night Creature(metallic iris-purple).

It seriously doesn’t get much better than Black Fire. This slate blue shade has glitters saturated throughout it, making it so you can’t not look at your nails in the light. I used two coats for full opacity.

This collection is hands down one of my most favorite from NARS. There isn’t one piece of the Holiday Gifting that I don’t want to pick up and I really want to get my hands on the other two nail polishes.
