As you open the box the card resting on top gives you a little explanation and greeting on one side and a run down of what is in your box on the other side.
From Harvey Prince, Sincerely. This scent is described as spicy and sweet with Indonesian clove bud, Indian Tuberose and Japanese orange flower. I’m in love with this scent. It’s perfect for the Winter to Spring transition.
From Coola, Tinted Matte SPF 30 for Face. This is mineral based, which very rarely works well for me. The tint is light and after an hour or so it seemed like nothing was there. If you have perfect skin already and really only need an SPF, you’ll like this.
From Manna Kadar, Lip Locked – All of You. This is said to be an all-in-one primer, stain and gloss loaded with vitamins and extracts. The color should be long-lasting. Right off the shade is perfect and it feels really nice. I didn’t notice that it stayed longer than a regular lipstick would but maybe I’d notice more of a lasting stain with a deeper color… this particular shade was a MLBB for me.
From Essentiel Elements, Wake Up Rosemary Body Lotion. In terms of consistency this lotion was on the light side and the scent is definitely energizing. The Rosemary ingredient was overwhelming and I’d have liked to have smelled more of the mint. It does feel nice so if you like Rosemary this will be right up your alley. If you’re sensitive to strong fragrances and would rather have something lighter then definitely go for a different option.
From Number 4 Hair Care, Non-Aerosol Hairspray. This hairspray is said to give flexible hold and also nourish strands. I prefer an aerosol but this does get the job done and works well. It’s good to keep in my makeup bag for hair emergencies.
This month’s Birchbox shipment was okay. My favorite item was the Manna Kadar because the shade was perfect and the product itself was really nice. I’m also now fairly obsessed with the Harvey Prince fragrance and it’s already in my shopping cart to buy. It stinks my two fave items were small sample sizes, but I’m excited to discover new things to love!
The thing Birchbox really has going above all the rest is their rewards/referral system which gives you 10 points per review and 50 points per referral. When you get 100 points it equals $10 to spend in their shop – which is FULL of greatness. Since I found new loves this month’s box was worth the $10 and I’m excited to see what they have in store for next month.
Wanna sign up for Birchbox? (Click for referral) If you like what you see in this post go to the website and fill out the form.
